I wanted more Quality

I wasn’t impressed with the customer service or friendliness. My room key had to be reset twice and they tried to check me out a day earlier. We had to wait awhile when requested for towels and wash clothes. I think the rooms could have been cleaner and the sofa mattress should have been in better condition. We had to pay for breakfast, which was expensive. The vending machines were on different floors and the elevators stopped working for a little while. The greatest part is that it was on the beach. For the amount of money, things could have been a lot better.

Great stay for a large family group

Our group had 3 rooms for 5 nights (Sun-Fri). We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel staff are all wonderful! They were always friendly and ready to help. The kids loved the complimentary apples and bananas available in the lobby, the adults appreciated the complimentary coffee. The restaurant was also great, we loved the happy hour! Great location with a great view of the ocean and an easy path to the beach. Pool is nice -- i only wished they were able to keep it stocked with towels.

Surfbreak satisfies

This is an older hotel that definitely shows it's age but it was a clean and safe place to stay on the oceanfront. The staff was friendly and we had everything we needed. Definitely a win for the price peak summer and being right on the ocean.

Perfect beachfront location

Hotel is older, could use some updates. For example the beds. They were terrible, felt like spring mattresses. Best part about the hotel is that it is right on the beach, oceanfront so you are within a short walking distance to the beach. Also nice to sit on patio & see and hear the ocean. The restaurant & bar is good. We sat out on the deck. Chicken tacos with pineapple chutney was awesome.

Great location at good price

Location was perfect and room was great. Price was much better than the hotels on each side. All rooms are oceanfront and have balconies. One thing I was really looking for was a water bottle filler. Seems like a necessity for a beach hotel. They did have bottled water, but were often out, plus that’s not great for the environment. Also, the pool was closed a couple of days of our stay, but we were there for the beach, so it didn’t bother us. Parking was exactly as I had read in other reviews- very tiny lot in front of building (~15 spots), but other free lot is only a couple of blocks away, so just make sure to get everything you need out of the car before parking and you’ll be fine. Umbrella and chair rental on the beach was $20, so bring or buy your own across the street if you’ll be on the beach multiple days.

Amazing views

The view was amazing!! Added bonus for my future aviator was hearing and seeing the military jets fly overhead. First time staying on a boardwalk, my son enjoyed renting a bike $10/hr & riding down the boardwalk. Room was just right, got cold so I could sleep comfortably. Quiet and beds were comfortable. Staff was nice and helpful.

Wonderful View Amazing Stay.

The stay was amazing it was beautiful and everything you need walking distance. Parking is on another parking lot but it's a nice size parking lot an still very close to the beach and hotel. The pool was on maintenance for two days thought. But the my next stay I definitely will make sure to try out the pool.

Never Again

The listing makes this place look wonderful. It’s no better than a cheap motel. Our room smelled so disgusting of mildew. The carpet was all damp when we arrived. I thought maybe they did a carpet cleaning or something and it would dry shortly. It did not over the course of 2.5 days. I touched it and my hand smelled foul. We could not walk in the room without shoes. I complained and they did send two very nice maintenance men. They cleaned the air conditioner with a noxious chemical and sprinkled carpet powder around. Me and my daughter caught an asthma attack from the chemicals and had to vacate for a while. The housekeeper took our bath towels before 1100 and after 3 inquiries, we finally got towels almost 6 hours later. We wanted to shower after getting sandy at the beach. I am baffled at how this run down piece of garbage has 8/10 rating. Maybe we got the worst room they have. It wasn’t even cheaper than our usual go-tos. I just wanted an outdoor pool, so I selected this place. One positive was that they did give out free bottles of water and fruit.

Beautiful beach views and access

Hotel was very nice and had an excellent view. The calypso bar next door was very nice and convenient. Service is very slow for breakfast but good food. Unfortunately, does not have enough parking and if you have a disability only has 2 spaces. Was told it was first come first serve. Additional Parking is down a side street. Not convenient.

Weekend stay

Great staff and overall good experience

Experience overall was great! Matt at front desk and a member of maintenance team that proactively helped us when we arrived was cherry on top of the pie. Feedback would be on infrastructure (elevators, toilet in room could me modernized) but nothing was a problem really. We would go back and recommend.

The pool was okay, however you could not smell the chlorine. The room we had was okay, not without its hiccups, had damage to the seats , stains on the floor , the plumbing was terrible , you had to hold down the toilet to make it flush .the bar downstairs smelled unclean .
