10/10 绝佳

I've never had any desire to stop in Bakersfield or Fresno while traveling I-5, but new I couldn't make it to Sacto so booked La Quinta. Check-in was smooth, room was comfortable, and I liked that the coffee maker was not in the bathroom (which totally grosses me out). Breakfast was the usual fare of waffles, cereals, scrambled eggs, bacon, juices, etc, and there was plenty of seating. The only thing I didn't like was the tipping process. There was a website (or QR code), then you chose individually who and how much you wanted to tip. Each transaction was separate, with an added fee for each, so I skipped the tips. (They didn't have change at the desk, so apologies to the employees who would've gotten a nominal tip.)
There wasn't a restaurant in the hotel, but there was a Denny's across the parking lot for a late night meal, and a couple of other restaurants nearby.
I loved that I took the Merle Haggard Ave to the hotel, and then Buck Owens Blvd to get coffee.
All in all, I would stay here again when passing through.
