Not a great experience
Hotel is in a great location. However, the rest of the experience was incredibly poor - unwelcoming service. Rooms incredibly dirty. Breakfast is the worst I’ve seen and not edible. Overall experience incredibly poor, especially given the price point of the hotel. Will not stay here again.

I think Queen Anne's Revenge is one of the most unique and beautiful places I've stayed. The room was spacious and so comfortable. The staff was friendly, the hotel itself was so unique, I loved it! It was an easy walk to Main St and all the shopping/dining. But far enough away that it was a nice quiet place to relax in the evenings. I would 100% recommend staying here, and if we come to Bar Harbor again we will be staying Queen Anne's.

Room 3 has a small private patio door that needs a shade for early sunrises.

Hospitable pleasant stay
The service and playful upscale nautical decor make it unique for a hotel that is not at a 4 star price in this popular town. Everything was clean and comfortable. Our room had a private deck, a surprise place to enjoy our morning coffee. Our pillows weren't great, but everything else was striving to be first class. It is a renovated old building, so a bit quirky, but clean and gracious. Staff was superb.

Hotel room changes
During check-in we were told that our three night stay was going to be split up between two hotel rooms, due to a wedding reservation that had been booked a year ago.
The hotel manager made up for the inconvenience! He put us in another beautiful first floor king bed room, and left us a complimentary bottle of while wine in a chiller
Great touch!.

Adequate, not friendly
We stayed for 3 nights while exploring the park and town. The hotel was ok. Not bad, but not great. We noticed how unfriendly the staff was that works here. The front desk people don’t acknowledge you. We found it bizarre considering the hospitality we were shown at the other small hotels we stayed at along our route. The room was adequate, however we didn’t know it would be so NOISY. As soon as people were up and about, we were woken up. That was super disappointing. The breakfast they offer is stale bagels, yogurt or a blueberry muffin. Again, it was adequate but disappointing compared to the other hotels we stayed at during the trip.

The service was outstanding, available and eager to address any questions or concern we had. Large two room suite with fireplace and large bathroom. I suggest better pillows, very firm pillows. Otherwise great, walkable, quiet location.
Suggest Side Street Cafe is a great place to eat. Reasonable prices, great food and service.

Reality vs pictures online
The pictures online definitely do not reflect what you get. Our room smelled moldy. The hotel itself needs some updating desperately. The hall carpets are filthy. We had a hole in the sheet. We had a hole and tearing on the towels. The staff barely acknowledged you when you past the front desk. They were too busy listening on their headphones or looking at their phones. The cleaning staff would clean the room yet leave all the dirty glasses ( so we would bring downstairs). It’s a shame as the hotel is in a good location for walking about. I was very disappointed with the hotel especially based on all the good reviews. Also the chocolates they leave in the room as a treat are 10 months old as you can see from the pictures they are Hanukkah candy.
