Bayer’s city hotel is right next to the train station which attracted me because my daughter and I needed to ride to Vienna after Munich. Since it’s near the train station my daughter felt it was shady. Nothing happened and there were lots of tourist but there were adult entertainments around and the usual suspects. Other than that, it’s supper close to Munich old center, underground shopping, and bunch of restaurants. Price was good and nothing bad to say regarding the hotel.

Really friendly folks at the front desk! The hotel was great! Our room was on the street side and we were absolutely amazed at how quiet it was! Truly soundproof with blackout shades! Nicely done, y’all! Did not offer a lot of amenities, but we knew that already. Great location to most all needs. The area is a little rough, but we didn’t feel unsafe. There are all the services around you for food, laundry, tons of shopping, and relatively close to the train station. Just a ten minute walk. Would stay there again for sure and appreciate the value. 👍

The hotel was generally satisfactory, and the rooms were clean and modern. However, the bathroom setup was unusual—the shower and toilet were each housed in separate glass cubicles within the room, offering very little privacy, making it unsuitable for friends. The location was a concern, particularly for women. The hotel is surrounded by several strip clubs, which made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe when walking in the area at night. I would not recommend it for solo female travellers.

The customer service was wonderful by the front desk clerk (I can't remember her name). She was super helpful with helping me find parking as well as check-in in a speedy manor. The room was really cute, clean, and very quiet. Amazing shower!!!!

Area of was ok, extremely noisy area. A lot of people constantly hanging at the cafes downstairs around hotel. They are making lots of noise all night long even in the middle of the night. The area is a bit sketchy, would not recommend the area for solo female travelers. Was with my husband so I felt okay, but lots of dudes hanging out every corners day & night. Always go out with someone else if you are a woman.

This hotel was a good choice for balancing access to the main train station and the heart of the old city. The room was clean, but kind of awkward when traveling father/son with the frosted glass being the only privacy between the bedroom and the bathroom. There was also a weird exposed wire thing next to the bed on the floor. However, it was clean and comfortable and just what we needed for a quick trip to Munich.

Location is walkable to Oktoberfest grounds, which is what we came for so that was fantastic. Marienplatz was about 15 min walk, which is also fantastic! The street this hotel is located on is extremely loud and people were in the streets until about 5am. A/C was set at 77 degrees and could not change it, room was very hot and we couldn’t bear to open the windows because it was so loud.

Clean and comfortable low-end hotel

Conveniently located near Central Station and a delicious Afghan restaurant at the doorstep, but a bit of a walk to the main tourist centre around Marienplatz. Our room was very comfortable and clean, daily room service was professionally done. The room was spacious enough. But the shower had a slight smell and the AC didn't seem to work too well. Also, the view from our room was an outdoor staircase connected to the building, which was not attractive and didn't feel overly safe. Plus there was a bright light outside the window at night meaning complete darkness in the room was not possible. Overall, reasonable value for a clean and comfortable room to crash on a short stay, but don't expect any luxuries, and know there is no iron.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy hotel! The room was perfect for our family of four, it was nice, modern, with comfortable beds and plenty of space. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the lady at the front desk who went above and beyond to make our early arrival comfortable. The free coffee in the lobby was a nice touch. There are convenient stores, restaurants, and the Christmas market, and the city center is all within walking distance! As convenient as the location, the only low score is also the location it can get busy. There is an adult store nearby and a strip club beside it and across the street. It did not bother us much as we did not walk in front of it, but it may bother others. People were yelling (most likely drunk) in the early morning hours almost every night during our stay, and since we had the windows slightly opened, we could hear it, but we just played music with the TV to mask it. HOWEVER - despite all this, the area was safe. There wasn't any moment that we felt unsafe. I highly recommend this place!
