Motorcycle tour

First time weve stopped here. Great base for our tour of the breacons and beyond. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Will definitely stay again.

Do not book this hotel

Arrived at hotel to find a small narrow car park. Best western taken over hotel 2 weeks ago from level up hotel. No hair dryer in bedroom. Carpet in bedroom was stained. Staff in own clothes. Even the manager serving in a pair of gym shorts and tshirt. Returned from breakfast Saturday morning to knock on door you haven't paid for breakfast even though website said free breakfast. Could of put the breakfast on the room tab and pay on exit. At breakfast no jam, marmalade, pepper. Saturday night 3am fire alarm went off all guests between car park and reception as it was minus 3. One person on night shift. No communication to guests what was going on. No list to check all guests out of rooms. Two guests left the hotel after hour and half. The firm who deals with the alarm informed hotel it was fault on system to disconnect from mains as it take the engineer hour to arrive and the alarm would of been going for 2 hours. Short staffed trying to cover all areas of the hotel not great. Worst best western hotel i have stayed in. Water machine over flowed had to ask for mop and clean it up. No sign to put up wet area. Would not recommend to stay.

Fire alarms

Very disappointed with the 2 fire alarms that went of twice in the night, 1 at 10pm and the other at 320am both false alarms with they could not turn for an hour. We traveled up last night from Sussex so I didn’t have so I didn’t have to get up early to visit bike park wales. which turned out to be a waste of tome

Thoroughly recommend.

Stayed for two nights as was attending a family funeral. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room and toilet were clean. Hotel was warm throughout, breakfast was very good and the bar prices were very reasonable.

On arrival the electrics to the hotel had gone down, we received a complimentary hot drink The room we stayed in had no heating so was freezing cold, I suppose if I had of mentioned it I would have got some portable heaters It won't put me off staying here again though, Thank you

Would come back.

The things that stood out the most was how incredibly friendly was every staff member in the hotel and how clean the hotel was, my room smelled nice when I arrived. Breakfast was good, it’s a shame that advertised dinner service was not available on neither days off my stay. The Negative point is non existent sound insulation and super loud kids at almost 11pm.

Not really good enough

We booked in and were given our key but when we opened the door to our room it has all decorating things in it and the tv off the wall. We returned to reception and were given another room but this should not have happened. We only had breakfast on one morning but waited ages to be served which made us late for check out

I booked a 2 day stay and everything was fine till morning i checked out when i was looking to take a shower but on entering the ensuite found place flooded. In fairness hotel acted swiftly in offering another room to take shower but meant me packing a little earlier. Have to say breakfasts were good though
