It was quaint, the room itself was wonderful. Had a Keurig coffee maker, which I use at home. The TV was a nice size. The bathroom was huge.

I enjoyed that the shuttle was available for people like us that had no idea how to get around. We enjoyed the breakfast variety, taste. The only thing that was difficult is parking and that there is a high homeless population. It was extremely scary to walk anywhere.

I really enjoy my stay in The Cova, staff was amazing and super friendly, complementary wine was such a surprise and also Breakfast I blew me away. I know I stayed during a very difficult time for the city of SF where everything was shut down, but I must say I felt safe in the hotel, and the hotel provided us with hand sanitizer and it was great. Only thing it was the homeless situation smoking outside but I understand that out of their hands to stop it. Over all I really enjoyed it.

The property is a good value for the money. The location ia a bit sketchy but no issues walking to and from nearby locations. Easy walk to union square. Cons: Did not like that there were no hot breakfast options. The cold breakfast offered was adequate but unsatisfying.

This was my first time staying here, and let me just say, I will be returning again! The staff was very accommodating as well as welcoming with a smile every time I walked by the front desk. The room itself was very nice. Each room included a balcony with a view if the street. The rooftop patio may be my favorite aspect of the hotel! It had couches, benches, and chairs for our enjoyment. It was a bit cold, but they had heat lamps to keep us warm. The location was a bit sketch, but knowing San Francisco, I did not feel threatened at all...even when I would go walking at night. Overall, it was a great stay, an as stated before, I will be returning.

Staff are friendly. Hotel is clean. Breakfast begins 6:30am. Basic but coffee and fruits were enough for me. Location is about 10 mins walk from civic center train station. There are many homeless people. I have been told by locals to just keep my head down and power walk through them. I ended up calling Uber instead of walking to train stations near by (a 7 mins walk) because it's just heartbreaking to see so many homeless people.

Das Hotel ist wirklich schön, nur die Lage ist schrecklich!!! So viele Drogenabhängige und Obdachlose !!!!! Es ist für drei Erwachsene gefährlich sich dort zu bewegen, wir waren sehr geschockt. Dieses Hotel liegt im gefährlichsten Teil von San Francisco und man musste vor Sonnenuntergang ins Hotel gehen, sonst wäre es auf der Straße zu gefährlich gewesen. Leider war das Frühstück außerhalb des Hotelgebäudes und man musste aus dem Hotel in ein anliegendes Gebäude gehen.

Add mentioned fridge but there wasn’t any. Shuttle from the airport was not available because of late arrival. No valet service for our luggage again because of late arrival. The reason for these comments is because my husband is mobility challenged and has diabetes.

The hotel was clean and desk staff we worked with were very friendly. There is convenient valet parking on the property. Beats trying to figure out parking in the city if you have your own vehicle. The "balcony" that was advertised was a joke. We had a sliding glass door that opened to railing. There was no actual balcony. We had a view of the transients all over the street. This hotel has no air conditioner or heating system. Thankfully it wasn't hot during our stay, the little fan they provided was sufficient. The bed was extremely uncomfortable to me. The mattress was VERY firm. The location is awful. Smack dab in the middle of the tenderloin. The complimentary breakfast was in a nice little room with plenty of table and chairs. Don't expect bacon and eggs type breakfast. It's hard boiled eggs, pastries, cereal, etc. It was nice though. Overall, our one night stay was good for the price, but I'm not sure I will be coming back. The super hard mattresses and the scary homeless people just outside the hotel were the deal breaker for me.

There are some homeless people on the street, so it's better to stay in hotel at night. Our room is clean and comfortable, I enjoy the stay in COVA hotel. Stayed for two nights but there is no water provided at day 2. Even so I still recommend to stay in here!
