This place is a tourist trap. I should have listened, when the hotel I came from asked, why I wanted to go to this place afterwards (had chosen it for the view)........The place presents itself as a luxury place, but in reality the rooms are small, crowded with stuff and the head rest of the bed was filthy. There was furthermore a strange smell in the entire place (old people or old furniture) and a lot of noise from the street. Ended up checking out after 3 hours and being forced to pay for 3 nights.

No Ocean View and that is the biggest problem. I booked this room for a sea view but the booking options are misleading. I booked the" Superior Balcony" which would mean the best balcony out of all of the balcony rooms. However, mine was the only one facing the street. The room should clearly state "Balcony City View" or "Garden View" like most other hotels disclose. I asked to change rooms and they said that was not possible because the 2nd night was booked. Even though it showed available rooms on Hotels com. I also messaged the hotel and received no response. I paid extra money to stay here for a relaxing experience and it was far from that. Power was off when I arrived and couldn't charge my phone. Front desk person fixed the breaker. I later returned to the room and my phone died due to power being out. I could not enter the property because they give you a code instead of a key and I could not get code from phone that had no battery. Also, before I arrived I messaged the property where to pick up parking ticket and no one responded. So when I went to check in I carried my bags down to the lower street where Google maps identifies the entrance to the property. I then asked a store clerk and they informed me entrance was upstairs. So I had to carry me my bags back up. Overall, a bad experience and no communication from property manager or owner. Lastly, this morning the shower would not work. Will not stay there again.

The place was even better then I hoped. Parking was easy, almost under the fort. The staff were excellent, very helpful an professional. The breakfast was terrific,as were the pastries in the lobby.

The staff is so kind. They accomodated our early arrival. We asked for something to eat since we were leaving early and they prepared yogurt and fruit and brought it to our room. Very clean and good breakfast, but the staff made the stay excellent. Everything is Cascais is so close to the Westlight. I highly recommend stayong here.

We loved our stay! The location right near town center is perfect. We had a room with French doors that opened to an incredible view of the ocean. It was clean, comfortable and the air conditioning worked great when we didn’t want to keep the doors open. The breakfast was delicious and staff was so welcoming. My husband has celiac, so once we let them know, they provided him with gluten free packaged bread and pastries very morning. I would definitely stay again!
