Resort is dated and old looks like the 1970.not enough storage for clothes .a dresser would be nice .i ask and email for a room not on a hill because of health issues,I got apartment on a hill . Got stuck in elevator with my husband for 15 minutes which was a terrifying experience,no apologies for that .got locked out of apartment one night for 30 minutes as lock would not work we were frozen as night is cold . The staff were amazing especially Monica the house keeper very kind and helpful. So we had a few bad experiences that were never acknowledged.portugal is a beautiful country and beautiful people.

Wir waren (zum Glück) nur für drei Nächte im Monica Isabel Beach Club. Die Lage direkt am Meer mit Sandstrand ist sehr schön. Das Personal, die Reinigungskräfte und die Animateure (hier waren vor allem die Abendveranstaltungen sehr sehens- und hörenswert) waren sehr nett. Das ist dann aber auch alles, was es von dieser Unterkunft Positives zu berichten gibt. Die Zimmer sind abgewohnt, das Bad in einem erbärmlichen Zustand. Die Sitzmöbel in der Lobby dreckig und durchgesessen. Der Speisesaal, der sich im 8. Stock befindet, ist mit uralten Tischen und Stühlen ausgestattet. Alles klebt beim Anfassen. Bei Regen tropft es durch die Decke. Den Fahrstuhl nach oben haben wir nicht benutzt, nachdem er mehrfach stecken geblieben ist. Das Essen ließ sowohl geschmackliche als auch von der Auswahl, der Präsentation und der Abwechslung her sehr zu wünschen übrig. Vegetarier/Veganer haben hier ganz schlechte Karten, da in fast allen Gerichten und Salaten Fleisch enthalten ist. Die Getränkeauswahl bei Al Inclusive ist mehr als überschaubar. Bier, Softdrinks, ungenießbarer Wein und nur ein „Cocktail of the Day“ und ein paar no Name Liköre. Und das alles gibt es in Pappbechern !!! Mir ist völlig klar, dass man bei 3 Sternen Landeskategorie nicht allzu viel erwarten kann, aber diese Unterkunft hat nicht mal 1 Stern verdient! Portugal und Abufeira werde ich auf jeden Fall noch mal besuchen. Der Flughafen ist sehr modern und sauber. Aber dieses Hotel werde ich sicher nie wieder buchen!

Friends getaway

Weather was hit and miss.. A couple of days of rain and heavy rain at that. A few leaks about the hotel but nothing crazy. All was taken care of.. Staff couldn't do enough.. Love the hotel pool and that we are on the beach.. Plenty of food on offer and nice food at that.. Will happily come back to this hotel..

Brilliant beach location, excellent value

It's 10 out of 10 if you love the beach and swimming in the sea. Brilliant location just a short 10 minute walk into town along a boardwalk on the beach. However the pool area is a little on the small side, but I love the beach so it was a perfect for myself and my 15 year old son. For a three star resort, it exceeded expectations, excellent value for money.
