Great location in the old city!!! Liked the room. No AC but fan was ok, the beams are the ambiance but the hazard. Elevator but it pnly starts one floor up so luggage has to go up one flight of stairs. Refridgerator did not work. Bed had some serious lumps. Would definitely stay again. Self checkin went smoothly except they only show your room number once. MEMORIZE IT QUICKLY, IT WILL NOT BE ON YOUR KEY CARD!

We stayed 1 night and we had a restful stay. Self check-in was quick and easy. The owner allowed us to leave our luggage bec we arrived earlier than check-in time. He was kind and accommodating. I loved the area because it is in the heart of Lucerne, in the old town. Stepping outside of the hotel felt like visiting the olden times. Easy 8-min walk to the train station. 2-min walk to the Chapel Bridge. 12-min walk to the Lion Monument. The reason I gave 4 was because the stairs and floor are very creaky. Maybe because the building is old. There is no aircon but there were 2 small fans and they worked fine. The room is small but enough for a 1 night stay.

This hotel was walkable from the train station, and was in a great location in the center of the old town. Newly remodeled and very clean. We had our elderly parents with us; our only concern was that we had to get them and all our luggage up a full flight of stairs in order to access the elevator. This was a little tricky. Good price, we really enjoyed our stay!

Wouldn’t recommend, even for the cost savings

The check-in process was a nightmare. They said in the email that we could drop our luggage off at 10:30 but no one was there to help. They messed up the details of my reservation and it took soooo long to sort out and get me in my room. We only had 1 day to enjoy Lucerne and the surrounding area and it took 2 hours to get my luggage and room sorted. The room is in really rough shape and the overhead lights were BOTH burnt out so the only light we had in the evening was a small reading light attached to the bed. The no AC was expected but the higher than normal August temperatures made the room extremely uncomfortable. Honestly, the hassle of trying to get into this room and store our luggage safely was so rough that I would NOT recommend booking this hotel. (And I almost never leave reviews — it was truly just that bad.)

Great place.

we had a little problem with the check in, but restaurant staff was very kind and helped us. The room is perfect. The only problem was that we were 3 minutes late to check out (it was raining and it took us a while to plan the route ) and the housekeeping was very angry and was rude.

The hotel is in a great location and the room was clean, except for the bathroom. The shower drain was partially clogged so we could barely shower for a minute until it flooded. The bathroom sink also has drainage issues.

This is in a great location. The room is very sparse with no place to set luggage or items in bathroom. Some rooms have a courtyard view but ours looked at a building and someone’s balcony. Bed is very firm but not too bad. Elevator is 1 story up so you have to lug bags up a twisting flight to get to the weird little elevator.

The location was great! Not the most logistical to get to, but never the less, great location near the water and close to great food and drinks! The room itself was very small. The majority of the room is the bed, but the bed is large. The shower head and water pressure was very good! Overall, for the price I would say you get what you’re paying for. Not bad, not the best.

Room has not had a deep clean in quite some time, indicated by the layer of dust in all corners as well as behind the refrigerator (that was not functional) and inside the Nespresso machine (that was full of empty pods). Second attempt at staying here, there will not be a third. Also, the door had no functional secondary lock.

Ok location was fantastic! Right near the Lake. However, it was very warm and there was NO A/c or breeze! Room was extremely small but efficient! Shower worked well. Check in went very well and the electronic lock for evening hours worked just as well. Would I stay here again? Maybe but would not be my first choice.
