Typically, I leave positve reviews about hotels, but in this case multiple things were not satisfactory:
1. There was no parking available at the hotel, so we had to use the valet service, which is fairly expensive, operated by another company, and quite expensive. After we used the app to request our car, we waited 25 minutes, and they brought the wrong car! When I asked the front desk why it was taking so long to get our car, I was told that there was probably heavy traffic in town, and then I was lectured about how the hotel is not responsible because they don't know anything about the company that operates out of their lobby and parks their guests cars.
2. Another morning while we were in the lobby waiting for our car, the hotel's loud fire alarm suddenly went off and I jumped. As it continued screaching, a woman at the front desk laughed at me because I was suddenly startled and was clearly uncomfortable with the continuing extremely loud sound. I live with Asperger Syndrome and being laughed at was literally adding insult to injury. Being lectured and then laughed at by the front desk clerk was not a good way to start the morning, especially while waiting so long for our car which had been parked somewhere in town off hotel property.
