Rooms are nice and good value, staff helpful but you need to go to the bar area to check in, aggressive foul mouthed patrons tolerated even in the family dining area mid afternoon.

Very comfortable large room with huge bed, nice recently renovated, lovely shower big tv quiet. Stairs to upstairs accommodation may be difficult for people with knee problems such as myself, narrow steep steps. No lift. Nicely renovated bar and gaming facility. Typical pub food menu of average value. Kfc next door.

Yes it’s under construction, but when there’s other rooms available why put people above the beer garden? Also hot water takes extremely long to heat up. Bed was comfortable, room clean. Bed isn’t a king it’s two single beds together.

We have stayed here numerous times with no complaint. Have always enjoyed it. We checked in about 2.30, after a 5 hour drive, planning to have a rest before a family event. The site is currently under major renovations, jack hammers and pounding. No rest, rather a pounding headache. We would still recommend, BUT ... check on the renos first. Wish they would put it up on the booking sites.

Bathroom door would not close. Basin Sink in bathroom needs fixing to wall properly. Ceiling light look like it had paper in it. Round table in bedroom should had the base cleaned properly and a bit of polish.

On Friday 17th January 2025 both myself and my wife travelled from Penrith in foul weather to your hotel as we booked a room for three nights (17th,18th & 19th) we arrived sometime about 6pm or so. Unfortunately, were allocated room #16 above the dance/music area of the hotel. I had follow-up work to do on my computer so we did not go out that evening. We found the noise from the dance/music area beside or below the room #16 was very frustrating and did not get to get to sleep due to the noise even at 1:30am in the morning! The next day, I complained and were happily moved to room #10. However, I was so tried we missed the wedding. On Saturday 18th it was the same as the previous night however, the noise was not as bad but still frustrating. On the 19th, rather than staying the third night we decided to leave and head back to Penrith as this was not an enjoyable weekend. We are extremely frustrated over this and other issues we found with the rooms. We dropped the keys in the express box and left very disappointed over a bad experience. I note that on arrival and trying to get to the door leading into the stair up to the rooms there were construction debris and tools in front of the door, my wife hurt her leg trying to get past carrying one of our cases. Furthermore, as mentioned to a manager (name unknown however, was very nice and pleasant) the shower doors in the rooms open inwards but they are too close to the wall and unless you are a skinny person (which I am not) .....

Comfortable stay

Everything was nice, modern and clean. Comfortable bed and big spacious room. Even though there is a bar on the ground floor, no noises can be heard from the rooms on the 1st floor. Easy walk to nearby restaurants.
