Our stay was for 4 days. The room was very clean and breakfast was good and included in the room cost. However, we did eat in the dining room which was very nicely decorated and very clean but the food was not tasty at all except for the bread. When I received my pasta dish it was not good and the pasta was harder than el dente and the sauce was terrible. I told the waiter that I could not eat it as it was not good. There was a very scant menu for dinner, and there wasn’t anything else on the menu that I liked. My husband had fish which he did not like, but he ate it, plus every thing is alacarte like the veggies, salad or anything but the main dish. When I paid my bill, they refused to take off my pasta which only a tsp. Of pasta was tasted. What should’ve cost $40 they charged us $61.00. I asked them and they said there was a cover charge added on and would not take off the price of my pasta. We were the only ones eating in their dining room….now I know why. You would think that they could read the writing on the wall why the dining room is never filled. They have a lot of waiters standing around in case you need them but that is the extent of it.

Beautiful views

This hotel was beautiful with an amazing view of the ocean and Vesuvius from my room. The only complaint was that I could hear the music from the roof in my room, however it turned off at 10p so it wasn’t too bad. But the view, the quiet away from the main city, and the friendly staff more than made up for it. And the rooftop martinis were superb!

Birthday Dinner Disappointing

We really like this hotel and mostly the staff are competent and lovely … but a couple of things to consider .. It’s not obvious if any of the mini bar water is free for the room The hotel is a good 25 min walk into sorrento. There were no pizzas or hardly any bar snacks during our stay Ended up paying €92 & €72 ..( just for food) in the restaurant .. food is very basic and they forgot to put a birthday candle in partners dessert.. having pre-planned only an hour earlier ( very disappointing!) Also, the final hotel invoice included 2x lemoncella.. we were told they were free as is often the Italian custom in so many bars and restaurants. But no, we were charged €16.. I only accepted it to be polite. I didn’t even drink mine There is also a €2.50 cover charge for every person who enters the restaurant The beer charges are also confusing and we ended up paying €12 each for small Corona type bottles The bar areas serve different drinks so don’t expect that the terrace or garden bar will both have your favourite drink available and I’m not sure that the prices are the same either

The staff were incredibly helpful - ordering taxis for us in the mornings and assiting our friend with booking a bus ride home. The rooftop bar is lovely and the overall atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful. The complementary breakfast was also wonderful. Highly recommend a stay here!

Cerca de Sorrento, a unos 15 minutos caminando por calles agradables. El personal amable, el desayuno mu6 bien. Areas comunes de muy buen gusto y un jardín muy hermoso. Había alberca pero no la usamos. Muy buena opción.

We just recently got back from our stay at the Majestic. I always want to be extremely honest when doing a review. The Majestic is an older hotel and that is reflected in the rooms. With that being said, it was all that we needed. We were never at the hotel other than for sleeping and freshening up. The bed was two twins put together so the seam down the middle was very noticeable. As tired as we were from doing so much during the day, it didn't keep us from sleeping. The staff was always very helpful and the hotel was exceptionally clean. The morning breakfast was your standard continental style and had what you would expect. The rooftop bar was great but I wish they let you have access during the day to enjoy the view. The garden behind the hotel was lovely and very well manicured! Overall is was a good hotel for our stay in Italy. Nothing specifically against the them, but we would probably stay at another hotel if we ever go back to that area.
