Dirty and stained towels

This room smelled heavily of Clorox for the first day and the thin gross towels were completely stained. Unbelievable. It was dirty and loud due to highway noise. Don’t stay here.

Failed booking - won't book with Hotels.com again.

This experience was a complete failure on both the hotel’s and Hotels.com’s part. After an exhausting 8-hour drive with two young children, we arrived at 8 PM to discover that no room was available for us. Instead of resolving the issue, we were told to call Hotels.com ourselves to fix it. After several stressful hours, we were finally rebooked at the Comfort Inn. We had originally reserved a charming boutique hotel with two queen b were downgraded to a cramped king room that was not suitable for our family of four. We were told this was an "upgrade" because it cost more, likely due to the last-minute nature of the booking, not because it offered better accommodations. The room was poorly designed, with the sink awkwardly placed in the middle of the space, and it was not a comfortable or clean environment. The pull-out couch was a full size with a paper-thin mattress and sagging springs, making it unusable for two children. The furniture was dingy, and we immediately inspected for bed bugs upon arrival. The entire hotel had an unpleasant odor, and the elevator doors were alarmingly fast and heavy creating a safety hazard, especially for families. When I requested to be moved to a room with two queens, I was told none were available until our last night. Again, I was told this king room was an "upgrade" which clearly it was not. If it had been, I wouldn't be writing this complaint. Hotels.com completely dropped the ball, and the hotel did nothing to make it right.

Room 304 Middle on top View of freeway, a sneak peak of ocean. No sunset view. Large comfortable king bed. Seweage smell in bathroom sink. The floors & carpet made our feet black w/in 30 mins! I was able to get the room for a very good price so I was nervous that it would be kind of crappy and rundown but it was just the opposite. The room was very clean, spacious, and renovations were recently done which definitely gave it a newer, more modern feel. It was an ocean-facing room, but still quiet at night and really closeby to the SC pier/downtown SC, near lots of shops and restaurants which was very nice! Overall, very cute and cozy place and I liked that there were no overnight fee/incidentals (unless you happen to damage the room). The only thing I didn’t really like was that after 5/6 PM there is no one at the front desk office to help you out with anything.

Nice vibes but room for improvement

Nice hotel but they could do better with room cleaning. The freezer had hair in it. The tub is black and needs to be resealed. The shower handle was broken. There was a huge fall risk due to the huge crack in the floor. The number of dust bunnies behind the bed and in the fake plants were egregious

Wouldn’t stay here

I had book this room for my wife and I to have a night near the beach we started off at the beach was an amazing day until we went to check into our room. First glance from outside not great right next to the freeway and across from a donut shop not best first impression On arrival we had pre checked with a room key code already for access which is nice but about the only nice thing about this hotel. The fact that our room is on the 3rd floor we though cool better view ! Jokes on us no elevator had to hike up 3 flights in a narrow staircase to get to a room with next to zero view of the water or ocean more like a front row view of the freeway “beach or ocean view I think not !” Once we got into the room it got even better ! The room was dirty the bathtub was black no joke black disgusting hair inside the tub and the floor was so damaged in the bathroom sink area it was unsafe to walk could trip with shoes on or cut your foot if your are bare foot unacceptable! When I spoke to the front desk they said we can give you a new room a quickly declined and asked for a refund which was a process in itself got the refund and book another hotel in Oceanside harbor for only $25 more and was 10x better all around from start to finish
