The building is a restored 1858 mansion, and it's just gorgeous. All the necessary updates had been made while preserving the elegance of the original surroundings. My room was enormous and had a lovely fireplace that warmed the whole area within minutes. The inn offers ftee parking and a free breakfast and both were outstanding.. The parking is immediately adjacent to the house. The breakfasts were among the best I have had anywhere in the world. Every day there was a large Continental breakfast buffet, which would have been plenty of food for most people: yogurt with homemade pecan granola, hard cooked eggs, fruits, a variety of delicious pastries and bakery. But on top of that, they had two different entrees each day, one sweet and one savory. On the day I left the choice was strawberry pancakes or eggs Benedict. The inn is in a nice, very quiet old neighborhood. I loved looking out of the windows in my room and seeing other beautiful Victorian homes. From just outside the house you could also see the majestic Rhode Island state house, which is beautifully lit at night. the whole room within minutes

It was good for the most part. They could tell you that it is about t4 steps between the front door and the third floor. Also, didnt understand why they cut the lights off on the patio after we chilled there the first night of our stay. Also was promised a breakfast bag to go that we never received.
