Being charged $40 to check in less than an hour before actual check in is ridiculous. I could see if I checked in hours before 3:00 but it was literally 45 minutes before. Completely unnecessary in my opinion.

Overpriced and bad stay
Card key only worked for a couple of hours. Had to get a new one everytime I stepped out. Front door broken and sealed off. Had to enter through the side (which was a challenge when you need key card to open the side doors).

Safe hotel in sketchy part of town.
Went so we could be closer to the talking stick amphitheater for a concert. It was a good choice. Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff. Just in a sketchy part of phoenix. Lots of homelessness in surrounding areas, with that said, I felt safe at this hotel.

Three days of Hell
This hotel is a disaster. I knew we were in trouble when the outside door nearest our room would not open with our key. We were informed that that door would not open at all. Then for the whole three days we had to constantly have our keys activated so we could enter the hotel through other doors and our room. The maids never entered our room to clean and change the linen. We never received clean towels. We were told to leave our trash in the hallway. Basically we were paying $200.00 a night for a flop house. There were NO SERVICES OFFERED. In the morning for breakfast there were no eggs. Nothing but fat and carbs. The pool was ice cold. The jacuzzi was warm but the jets didn't work. I have nothing positive to say about this place. I have always sought La Quinta when in need of a hotel. I liked them so much I purchased their stock when they went public and kept it until they were sold to Wyndham. However, after this experience I will never stay at a La Quinta hotel again. EVER!!!!!

The door access card and lock systems were very sensitive and took quite a few swipes to gain access. I understand the system is being replaced soon, but it was an inconvenience this trip.

South entrance door was difficult to open. Was nice to have a ceiling fan but needed to be cleaned. We were there for NASCAR race. Was clean and comfortable
