I stayed at Novotel Milan Malpensa and honestly, it was a pretty awful experience. The reception staff at check-in was unbelievably rude—condescending and dismissive. I reported that the AC wasn’t working in my room, and after waiting over two hours with no action, I went back down to ask for a room change. The guy lied straight to my face saying the hotel was “fully booked” and that I had no choice but to stay in that hot room. Only after arguing and stating I had asthma, did he magically find me another room. Totally unacceptable attitude and zero empathy.
The rooms themselves? Old, tired, and far from truly clean—definitely didn’t feel like a 4-star hotel. The whole place felt more like a 2-star operation with a fancy name slapped on.
The only saving grace was the restaurant: the staff were kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. The food was great and breakfast was also solid. If it wasn’t for them, this would’ve been a 1-star review.
Bottom line: I wouldn’t recommend staying here. If you’re expecting a proper Novotel-standard experience, prepare to be disappointed.
