Spacious room with no lift access

The check-in staff did not proactively mentioned that the access to our room was different from other rooms, until we could not use the lift after we tapped our access card. Afterwards, we were susprised to learn that there was no lift access to our room. The room would be more comfortable if there are more than 1 chair available, considering there are ample amount of space. It was also quite noisy facing the main street while windows needed to keep open for ventilation with no air con available.

HOTEL VIEJO… CON UNA GRAN UBICACIÓN, CRUZANDO EL RÍO ESTÁ TEMPLE BAR. El baño olía muy mal y estába descuidado. La habitación de buen tamaño. Para dormir una noche fue pasable por lo mínimo, pero para más noches, ni pensarlo.

Hotel was clean and in a good location. Room was decently quiet, but did wake up to some noise outside during the night. Shower was pretty bad. No reason to have a shower head at the water just poured out. It kind of felt like you got beat up during the shower. They charge 50€ to check in early which isnt ideal. Front desk was pleasent enough.

Convenient location and clean room

Great, central location with walking access to sites and tons of restaurants. The historic hotel is a little worn, but our corner room was very spacious and nice with tall ceilings, comfortable beds and lots of windows. The breakfast had many options. My only complaint was the unwelcoming and unfriendly front desk staff (except for the nice gentleman who helped with luggage). We were so excited to be in Dublin for the first time and we were greeted by rude staff. This was our only bad experience during our 2-week trip in Ireland.

Great location, service, and show!

Great location and price. We did not use the metro so idk if the location is great for that, but if youre just planning on walking around dt Dublin, it's perfect. The hotel even had a dinner show, Celtic Nights, which was fantastic! The front desk let us check in 30 min earlier w/no fee, and when we were checking out, my friend's uber app wasn't working so they were able to call a cab for us and the cabbie actually came inside to check w/the desk (which they told us would happen - thats more of a cool perk of Dublin formality/hospitality vs a TON of cabbies who will park on the other side of the st and make you walk with your bags and some who won't even put your bags in the trunk!) If i could say anything negative about the place, it'd just be that the room was a little small but it was totally manageable and not out of our expectations - places in Europe tend to be smaller in general.

The stay was fine, the hotel was average. The room was clean and staff were friendly. The room was quite warm even with open windows. Unfortunately when I left my bags in the luggage storage they put a sticker on my suitcase which must have been extra sticky because it damaged the finish on my suitcase.

Find another hotel

The Hotel staff was nice, but the room was worn hard and rough. Old patchwork carpets greet you at the front door, worn and scratched furnishings full the room, a sloppily keep bathroom, small stains cover the linens and it gets real real hot during the night, and if you plug in the fan big dust clumps shootout, pretty gross And if you ask to cancel the second night because you tell them you're not happy, they'll tell you there's nothing they can do. Hotels.com will also tell you they can't refund or help. You'll be forced to contact your credit card company to get a refund....other then that it's grand

Great location in heart of Dublin. Easy access from Airport too. Comfortable clean well equipped room. Lovely helpful staff. Only downside was night noise from partying people outside our room. Otherwise would be excellent.
