This is a historic property and was very unique old Inn. The room was clean and the owner's were very friendly especially at check-in. (Note: they do not stay on the property overnight so make sure you have what you need before they leave). The breakfast is included unfortunately I had to leave before they served at 9 so the owner made up a to-go bag for me the night before. There is also a coffee shop nearby in case you can't make the breakfast. The restaurant was excellent. The wine, meal, and dessert were 10/10. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

Unique stay in an historical building with lots of charm. Welcomed by a friendly host who showed us to our room where we found champagne and chocolate waiting for us. Spacious, comfortable suite. The breakfast was outstanding! We chose scrambled eggs and French toast and highly recommend. Easy access to Shenandoah National Park. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful historic inn. We stayed in the Washington Suite and where complimentary champagne and chocolate were waiting. Very comfortable accommodations. Lovely breakfast. The omelette with fresh spinach and tomatoes and feta cheese. So good. Kaye was a lovely host. We highly recommend and hopefully will have an opportunity to stay again.

Charming Historic Inn

The proprietors of the Inn were very hospitable and available. It was a very charming historic place and we enjoyed touring the town with the historic markers on the buildings and the park down the street. We especially enjoyed the individually prepared breakfast in the morning.

Nostalgic, historic, quaint, breakfast is great, owners are sweet and thoughtful. Bathrooms need TLC. If you don’t like cats do not stay here. They keep to themselves but many many on property. Close to hiking. Not many restaurants near. Enjoy.

This historic Inn in a very small town ( population about 400) was a lovely respite. There was ample space in the room with a full bed, private bath and sitting area with fireplace. The restaurant on site offered a very nice dinner menu and wine selection and breakfast was served st our table and complimentary. Loved everything about our stay. Very gracious hosts.

Great little inn, conveniently located near the Swift Run Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park. Our room was large, clean, and cozy with a fireplace. Breakfast was great every day. The inn keepers are super nice and the staff is great for advice on the area for wineries, hiking and other interests. We really enjoyed dinner at the Restaurant.

Lovely find in wine country.

What a fun little find! Lovely spacious inn deep in the heart of Charlottesville wine country. Close to a number of wineries and to Charlottesville. The suite had a comfortable sitting room and a spacious bedroom. Don't miss dinner at the inn as it's amazing. Breakfast the next morning was better than any hotel breakfast I've had in years--the French toast will haunt my dreams. Definitely will be back.

This hotel is from 1890. You feel like you have stepped back n time with modern conveniences. We stayed in Washington Suite. We ate dinner in the restaurant and food was high end and wonderful. We had scallops and shrimp pasta.
