Great staff and phenomenal location

We really enjoyed staying in the Covered Wagon. It was extremely comfortable and perfect for the windy night. The staff was amazing and really went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. We opted to rent a BBQ and made cooking very easy. Highly recommend.

The proximity to Grand Canyon West and the Skywalk is incredible. Loved staying in the covered wagon. Unique, comfortable and beautiful morning and night sky’s. The staff, Steve was fantastic!

I just happen to be coming back from Yuma, AZ with my dirt bike in the bed of my truck. Decided to take a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon so I was looking for hotels near the Grand Cayon West airport and found this place. Stayed in a covered wagon. It was awesome. The staff said I could ride my motorcycle anywhere on their property. Once they told me I could ride anywhere on their trails I wanted to stay longer. I thought it was kinda cool to wake up at 7and hear the donkey bellow. The birds were chirping it was a nice 20% humidity at 73 degrees mid June 2025. What a nice peaceful place to stay.

This was the most unique experience. We slept in a beautiful covered wagon with full bathroom, great shower. We had a fire with s'mores, fed the animals in the petting zoo and went horseback riding. The best part were the staff so kind and helpful. Loved every minute.

Best glamping experience ever!

Fabulous over night stay in one of the wagons - what a great idea to us them. Set up was excellent. The bed was beyond comfortable!! So fabulous. Kids LOVED the bunk beds and the little touch of bottles of water was much appreciated. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was excellent if a little costly!! But that’s to be expected I guess. We also took the onsite helicopter tour which was once in a lifetime amazing and the pilot Chris was absolutely brilliant. So knowledgeable and funny and gave us the smoothest ride which was very much appreciated!! Would recommend the resort in a heartbeat!

Covered Wagon

This was such a cool little resort! Wish we could have stayed longer but we got in late and wanted to check out Grand Canyon West before flying home the next day. We loved the covered wagon and the atmosphere, and we both agreed that was the most comfortable bed we'd ever experienced on any vacation so far! Pretty sure the pioneers didn't have it as good as we did! If you're planning a trip to Grand Canyon West, definitely check this out!

What can I say? Absolutely wonderful setting, superb on-site staff. Rudy was so helpful, Jennifer took the time to show our 6 yr old daughter the animals. The only downside we only booked for 1 night. Yes it’s not absolutely finished as a complete destination but this just adds to the massive charm.

This was the most unique and awesome part of our vacation. We were taken away by the spaciousness of the Conestoga wagon, the furnishings, decorations, bedding, were just as pictured. Totally beautiful! What an experience, just outside an Indian reservatiin on the Rim if the Grand Canyon!!! Perfect!!!

2/10 Poor

DO NOT STAY HERE. It is nothing close to be a glamping experience. Looks like most of the reviews here are fake. My wife and I booked a wagon for one night in February. It was over $400 for one night stay. Nothing else included. When we arrived around 6.30pm there was nobody around and check-in area was very dark. Even if we called during the day to make sure restaurant would be open and we would be served dinner, restaurant was closed. When we went to our wagon and it was another disaster. It was dirty and gross. I don't think sheets had been changed for last couple of stays. When we see inside the wagon, we hopped in our car and head back to vegas and spend the night there.

Very cute place. The kids loved it. Staff was awesome. My only issues were there were no clear directions to get to the wagons. You go through a ranch with horses roaming and people meandering. We turned around, feeling like it was not a space for cars, and got lost driving unpacked roads and damaged our car. We also made the mistake of going to the travel stop suggested in the welcome letter. It is NOT the last travel stop available, so that was a lie. And the price gauging at that place is insane. $5.99 for a .99 cent can of Arizona Tea is an example. It’s cheaper, and only a 15 minute drive, to buy stuff from the Grand Canyon gift shop. Either way, there’s 2 dollar generals about 20/30 minutes away.

What a fun experience! We rented a Tipi for 1 night but wish we would have stayed there our entire trip! We had family ranging 18 to 79 yrs old and it was so great! Comfortable bed, safe, clean. Special shout out to Teddy! He went WAY above and beyond making our 1 night special. Such a kind person. We didn’t know what to expect when we booked this stay. It exceeded our expectations and would definitely recommend! Planning a longer stay next time. Thank you!!

Nice, but...

The actual property and covered wagon accommodation was quite lovely. There should be more signage on the main road that tells you where to turn because cell phone/GPS service is sketchy and, one can easily miss the entrance to the property. My issue was with customer service. I accidentally double booked and paid twice for a one night stay. I tried to resolve the issue with hotels.com who noted the issue had to be resolved with the resort. I spoke with Heather in March who noted she'd see what they could do and just let them know once I arrived. The day before and upon arrival I spoke to different staff members, including Toni, about the issue and a possible refund or resolution. Everyone seemed so nice and genuinely sorry about the mishap but everyone also put the decision about what could be done on someone else. And the person that I needed to speak to never seemed to be available. The front office was closed when I checked out early in the morning so there was no one to speak with. I tried to call later in the day but the cellphone service was still sketchy. Once I got through to someone I was told that I'd get a call back, which I never did. Ultimately, Grand Canyon Glamping Resort was paid twice by hotels.com for my one night, one wagon stay and that's not ok.
