Great location

Perfect location right on top of the beach. Has 2 pools and another heated one. Right next to airport as well. Worth to go all inclusive for the price. Highly recommended.

Tropikist is an excellent hotel. First, the entire staff, from management to security to the wait staff, is accommodating and considerate. Malaika Taylor, the guest relations administrator, is efficient and helpful. Although the flights to Tobago are at strange and inconvenient times, the hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. Second, our room faced the ocean, allowing us to enjoy the soothing sound of the waves. The view was fantastic; one unique aspect of Tobago is the abundance of birds. Tropikist features lush greenery, with trees teeming with thousands of birds, creating a symphony of beautiful sounds. The combination of the waves and the birds produced an unbelievably soothing soundtrack to our stay. The food was delightful. It wasn't your typical all-inclusive salad bar; while the selection was more petite, everything was fresh and flavorful, including unique offerings like soups and homemade bread. There were a few cabanas on the beach, where we spent some time. Although the beach was small, it was adequate. My wife didn't enjoy it much due to the waves, so we visited a public beach just a seven-minute walk away. There, we found shops and places renting chairs and beach umbrellas. Overall, if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation, Tropikist is the perfect choice.

Lots of things wrong with our room on arrival; faulty kettle; balcony door jammed; balcony light loose; only one bin provided; permanently flashing phone. Maids wanted to work at their convenience, not ours. Lack of info. Items not replaced at breakfast/ tables not cleared and birds pecked at the juice urn spouts. Staff did sort things out when asked. Courtesy room provided on checkout for changing.

Ypperlig bassengområdet, ellers helt ok

2 netter i januar 2025. Greit nok rom. Ser litt stusslig ut, men var rent. Booket superior med havutsikt. Vi var i første etasje og så såvidt havet. Sengene var ok. Wifi var veldig dårlig på rommet, men ok ved bassengområdet. Hadde all inclusive, og der kan du drikke så mye du vil. Middag var helt ok, frokost var dårlig, med unntak av at man kunne bestille omelett eller andre typer egg. Men hadde med en litt kresen gutt, og da var det bare loff og syltetøy. Bassengområdet var over all forventning. Og de fleste som jobbet der var veldig hyggelige:) Gikk til flyplassen, tok mindre enn 10 min, så det var også greit.

Weather was fantastic. Location was out of this world, you could see the ocean from the pool. Food was good. Drinks were great. Fun activities, Incredible views of the sunrise and sunsets.

The grounds and pools are nice. However, rude staff almost ruined our stay. When I first first arrived, the ladies at reception were very rude and even annoyed that I had made a last-minute booking online. The lady at the bar was rude to my partner. When he asked if she knew any good restaurants, she said yes. Then when he asked for suggestions, she simply said, "Down de road", and continued watching a video on her phone. Breakfast turned out to be good and the breakfast manager was so warm and welcoming. After breakfast I got an email from the hotel manager asking for feedback, which I gave. We then went to reception to wait for the driver of our tour. While waiting I overheard my feedback being read out loud and one of the ladies from reception started complaining that we had booked last minute and then said, "She's a fool or what." I could not believe the unprofessional behaviour of this lady. I then went up to her and said I was the one she was calling a fool. Everyone was embarrassed and of course apologies followed. I must say the manager stepped up and was very professional in how she handled all of this. She offered two free nights for another visit. She provided the customer service that the receptionists and female bartender were lacking. I have gone back and re-read reviews. Someone had even mentioned the rude bartender on her phone. Going forward, I think the hotel needs to let go of the two receptionists and bartender. Training is also necessary for staff.

Staff at restaurant was very warm and friendly. Facility was clean and well maintained.Most amenities were provided however TV was not working. Also when enquiring about late check out the reception staff were not helpful as they told us to wait until the maids made their rounds to ask. The next morning of 18th when we asked again a helpful young lady went out of her way to call the maids to find out if we could check out a bit later. Overall i would recommend this facility.
