Picked this hotel because of its 9.0 rating on Hotels.com. It doesn't deserve it. First, they lost our booking, then when they found it, they 'upgraded' us by way of an apology. The upgrade was a grade less than the room we had booked, and looked out on a brick wall. Complained and got 'upgraded' to another room, only slightly worse than the one booked. Room design is really bad despite being quite large. We had a seating area with no windows and a tiny TV, and a brick-hard sofa. The shower unit was hanging off the wall and was never fixed despite repeated requests. Room furniture is dated and tatty. Bathroolm was old and grubby. Bed was comfortable. Apalling value for money at nearly £400 a night,
