Amazing stay!

The hotel was great! Amazing staff, the buffet was pretty good, and the view is incredible. The rooms are of adequate size, but the only thing we thought was uncomfortable was that there’s no separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom.

Just a lovely place to stay

A wonderful stay for our first time in Iceland. Witnessed a beautiful sunrise at 3am from our room. Hotel was very close to the main area of Reykjavik with its many restaurants to chose from. Lovely rooftop bar and breakfast spot for a great breakfast.

Great hotel in an excellent location

This was the third and fourth time that I've stayed at this hotel. I was staying here for 3 nights either side of a multi day tour. I've always booked a sea view room and the view is a great view of Mount Esja. Maybe not so worthwhile in winter, with minimal hours of daylight, but definitely worth it in summer. The rooms are a decent size, very clean and with a mini fridge which I always find useful. I love the location of this hotel, just opposite Harpa and only a short walk to many restaurants and shops. For Flybus or tour pick up and drop off there are 3 stops that are convenient - 5, 6 and 14. Stop 6 is slightly up hill, so if you're dragging a heavy bag you might want to avoid this stop. I've never used the hotel spa, so can't comment, and when I've had breakfast in the past it's been a good spread in the lovely top floor bar area. Be aware that the hotel has rooms on the first floor (what I'd consider the ground floor, being English) and personally I'd avoid those and ask for a room on a higher floor if possible. Staff have always been very helpful and I coukd leave my suitcase at the hotel while I was away on my multi day tour. I'm not sure that I woukd have been able to leave my bag if I wasn't returning to stay at the hotel after the tour.

Den Meerblick bezahlt man neben dem Aufpreis mit einer lauten Haptstrassenlage. Zimmer wie überall in Reykjavik recht klein, kein Schrank. Frühstück reichhaltig, Skybar sehr schön!

Good Value, Convenient Location.

The hotel is conveniently located near the old harbor and a short walk to museums and central city area. Good for a few days stay. No closet or space for clothes storage; so you are living out of your suitcase. Good breakfast which is reasonably priced if booked with stay. No food service after breakfast, just rooftop bar with limited and expensive snack foods. Room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Friendly efficient staff with some locker storage. excellent Sky Bar on the top floor. Very good happy hour, early and late night. Had good snacks also. Hop On Hop Off Bus number 1 stop is right across the street from the hotel.

Lovely and accomodating

This was my first trip to Iceland and I went solo, which can be intimidating, but they made me feel safe and comfortable. What truly set them over the top was the emails I received prior to my arrival allowing me to set up seamless transport to and from the airport which takes off one extra worry. They also give you a list of different tours and activities you can do in the area. The rooftop bar has a beautiful view of the waterfront, even in the rain, and the spa is a must!

Die Lage ist perfekt! Man ist schnell in den besten Restaurants und in der Party Maile. Das Frühstücke ist im obersten Stock, mit toller Aussieht auf das Meer. Es ist reichhaltig und ideal für einen guten Start.
