When we entered the room we were met with a blast of damp mustiness. Carpet felt damp, A/C was blowing cool but musty air. Asked if we could change room because of allergies. Clerk asked, "Did you try opening the window?" to get rid of the smell. The 2nd room smelled much more damp, so we immediately went back to the 1st room. We eventually did open the window and left it open all night, but there was no window screen (see pic.) We are thankful there were no insects outside today. Shower was nice and new with good water pressure, but there was no drain plug... looked damaged. Toilet was loose, and it ran on and off all night because it was unbalanced. Corners of bathroom had built-up gunk that desperately needed to be cleaned (see pics.) Beds were comfortable. Refrigerator ran well. Breakfast was good. If we could've slept in the lobby, it would've been a nice stay because the lobby was updated and clean and not damp-smelling. We won't be staying there again. Maybe we just ended up with 2 unfortunate room assignments, but we don't want to take that chance again.
