Great weekend away.

The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring York. There is quite a large car park, although it can get a bit tight when busy. The hotel has benefitted from an extensive refurbishnent, which has been very tastefully done. Breakfast was delicious, with a large variety of options, both continental and traditional. Service was first class and friendly. Our room, in the basement, was large with an equally large ensuite. In the sweltering heat, it remained nice and cool. I personally found the huge bed somewhat hard, however my partner loved it. My only criticism would be that being in the basement, the windows could have benfitted from an external clean. If our travels take us back to York we will definitely use The Minster again, we had a great stay.

Very cozy hotel

This is a very cozy hotel in the heart of York, with very short walking distance from the city center. It was very convenient with their gated car park. The staff was super friendly. The breakfast is very good with a good selection of hot and cold food. The room was nice and clean, with a good bed. We will stay at this hotel again.

Top marks for The Minster Hotel.

I arrived around three hours early, but the lovely check-in staff told me my room was ready and allowed me to check in anyway, after I parked my car in the secure on-site carpark. The room was on the top floor, nice and quiet. Well-appointed, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was very good, in the lovely restaurant area. I cannot fault The Minster Hotel, and if I'm ever back in York, will try to get accommodation there again.

Great Staff and Hotel in a Great Location

The staff I came across during my stay couldn't have been friendlier, the room was nice and spacious with a lovely modern bathroom. The hotel had a real family vibe to it, I stay away for business a lot and it made a nice change to staying in the chain hotels

Lovely Family Run Hotel

Our stay was lovely, staff were friendly, efficient and cheerful, which made the stay even nicer, the room was spacious very clean and comfortable, with tea and coffee facilities in the room along with hotel biscuits was a nice touch, Breakfast choices were excellent and delicious and hot when arrived at the table,along with constant top up of tea or coffee ,brilliant.. Lovely York

Had a lovely stay. We were a couple and had the family room which gave us lots of space…staff all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good. Easy walking distance in to York. On site parking . Enjoyed out two night stay. Would recommend the hotel.

Brilliant hotel

Centrally located, family run hotel which had just had rooms updated beautifully. Great staff, all smiles and very friendly. Good breakfast to set you up for the days sightseeing. Now we have foubd it we'll never let it go. 😆
