Excellent hotel at great price

This is a beautiful hotel in a prime location for s great price! I wanted to relax and de-stess. I was able to get a good night's rest on the beautiful comfortable bed. Bed comfort is a big deal to me and the beds at Casa Del Caribe were very comfortable. It was also very quiet at night, especially for the central location. I felt safe because you must have a key to enter the property. I had a great experience at Casa De Caribe and I would recommend it to all of my friends and family.

Excellent central location, quiet and cozy

Great hotel! Very nice room at a great price. I slept so good and the bed was so comfortable. The hotel is walking distance from the beach and restaurants. It was a great central location and still the room was quiet at night and I got a good rest (which is the most important part of a hotel stay for me!)

Well placed for restaurants

We were only in San Juan for 2 days and decided on the Condado area. We didn't want to pay a fortune for a big resort hotel so this was perfect. It's just off the main street and the beach, so is close to everything you need. It's securely behind a gated fence. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only problem was biting insects because of all the greenery in the courtyard, and the fact that our room had very few plugs for charging devices.

Hotel Staff Moved Us to Another Hotel

Worst San Juan hotel experience ever. We advised the hotel the day before that we'd arrive around 4pm but upon arrival, they told us (with no apology) that they had given our room away and the hotel was full — "it happens often when using a booking site," receptionist said. We had to walk a block and a half to sister property, Canario Boutique hotel. The room at Canario had a broken TV and broken mini fridge (which they didn't try to fix when we advised them) and a closet door that didn’t open completely because of the bed blocking it. In addition, when we first made the reservation the Casa del Caribe contacted us to say they don't take AmEx and we had to cancel the original and make a new reservation — which made it even more frustrating when they didn't respect that reservation. Would never book again with Casa del Caribe or Canario Boutique.

No parking available. Ok hotel.

The hotel was run down. Bed were comfortable but carpet was dirty. Small fridge in room was dirty. They advertise in hotels.com as having parking available but they have no parking. I only chose them for “having parking” and ended up having to go to a private parking and paying an extra $35 to park.

Not Pet Friendly. I travel with my dog all the time and I’ve never had a problem at a facility until here. I reserved it because of location but after two nights I was told late afternoon I had to leave. Housekeeping, for whatever reason, created photos claiming feces - 1) he’s house trained 2) he’s a trained service dog 3) I really don’t know why but pnly one person stated it happened, no witnesses just doctored photos. I left and stayed a much better place. They get 1 star for a dark cavernous room and poor treatment and service dog discrimination. Good location.

Nightmare

Unable to speak freely on the phone inside your room, front desk will knock on your door to say to lower the voice. Had to whisper on the phone. Glad the nightmare is over!!!
