Decent Stay, But Location and Property Show Their Age The hotel itself is quite old and could definitely use some updates — the rooms felt a bit worn and the furnishings were outdated, which impacted overall comfort. The neighborhood around the property felt a little uncomfortable, especially after dark, so I’d recommend being cautious if you’re unfamiliar with the area. That said, the staff were friendly and did their best to make our stay pleasant. If you’re on a tight budget and mainly need a place to sleep, this hotel could work, but I’d suggest exploring other options if you’re looking for a more comfortable and secure environment.

We specifically booked this hotel because we had a 1 AM flight and we wanted somewhere we could stay until we needed to leave for the airport. We were not even staying overnight. We selected this hotel because their website and our booking confirmed that there was a shuttle available to the airport until 10:30 PM in the evening. When we got to the hotel, we were told that there was no shuttle service available and when I mentioned that our reservation confirmed availability of the service and that it was listed on the website the gentleman at the front desk flippantly said, “oh yeah I guess we better change that.” He didn’t even offer to help us call a taxi or find alternative transportation.That was the sole reason we selected this property and it put us in a very difficult position. We ended up having to spend a lot more money for transportation after paying for a full night stay for less that 5 hours of access to the room. In addition, the keys we were issued did not work so I had to go back up to the lobby and get them reissued. Again, no apology Just the comment that if they still didn’t work to let him know and he would call maintenance. Overall the service was rude and not Customer focused. I would not recommend this property based on our experience.

Country Inn & Suites is an excellent hotel. It is clean, safe, has a beautiful pool and bar area. It is also a 3 minute walk to a grocery store and multiple restaurants while being about 15 minutes from the airport. Great stay

Exceptional, comfortable stay for a last night in Costa Rica before heading to the airport. Last night’s of vacations are hard and this hotel made it pleasurable. Shuttle was easy and customer service was above and beyond. I left my purse with my wedding ring in the shuttle and they walked me through every step to get it shipped back while giving me updates and assuring me all was well.

Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is open until 9:00 at night. Everyone seemed to speak Spanish and English. There are stairs with no elevator, but the staff carry the luggage up and down with no problem. The pool and landscaping are lovely.
