The room was clean and comfortable. Had one incident that bothered me. One of the staff opened a side window to access the room I was in while I was starting my day. I saw her before she entered. She stated she called (she dialed the wrong number although she had called me earlier for ETA) to let me know malfunction on lock. Informed her that I had no issue. Also maintenance says nothing wrong w/lock. This was dangerous and upsetting. I know now to allows check windows.

We had a lovely stay. Staff was very gracious, allowed us to check in a little early, our beach view was out a side window but still beautiful. The water refill downstairs was not working. Keurig was shared in the lobby (not in individual rooms). Room was very clean and staff was very accommodating… gave great recommendations for breakfast and pastries.

Allison and Bob are very friendly and accommodating. The area is beautiful. I wish there was a private changing room with a shower outside of the property, maybe in the backyard area. This would make it more convenient for guests wishing to stay longer at the beach after checkout. Otherwise, I’ve been here twice solo and feel very safe and comfortable. It’s a truly relaxing experience in a beautiful area.

Great Staff and Location, building needs some love

The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome, even walking us to our room. We got there early and they gave us a towel and beach badge to use while we waited until check in. They did not have to do this. The building is dated, and our bathroom was clean but in rough shape. The shower is tiny and it's hard to fit in there (I am average build). But we were not in the room for long, so this did not matter to us. Avoid Room #12. It is over the kitchen and there is noise/music/pots and pans clanging until ~10 PM. The front desk woman made out a list of things to do locally when we had bad weather and couldn't use the beach. The staff really made the stay pleasant and we will come again because of this, just in a different room.

Rude and condescending front desk lady. Extremely overpriced, walk-in closet-sized room. No guest parking. No help carrying luggage. No umbrellas on outside tables or communal place to relax.

Our room (#1) was very small and one side of the queen bed didn't have a nightstand. The window shades didnt sufficiently block out light so we were up each morning earlier than we would have liked. It’s weird that the only way to enter is through the restaurant which is a very high end place so coming through in a bathing suit from beach across the street feels odd. The staff is nice enough but there’s nothin to be done about these things. Don’t let the pictures fool you By the way, there is no pool on the premises that picture is the pool at the Breakers hotel next door which is not on hotels.com or Expedia only available directly from their website.

What’s not to like about Spring Lake. Great hotel, restaurant, walk to beach, bicycle availability, beach chairs, towels and just about everything the Grand Victorian offers. Plus Ann incredibly accommodating staff.
