The staff laughed and visited in the side office for about 5 minutes before one person came to check in the line of people waiting. The rooms have damage like broken door handle and water circles on the ceiling, holes in the window curtains and shades. The breakfast is NOT buffett. It's a regular hot hotel free breakfast, but you have a ticket and only get served by a rude employee one time, so one biscut, one drink. Breakfast ended at 9a.m., but at 8:05a.m. the rude staff were finished putting out cereal, milk and muffins. There's not sufficient seating for all of the people to eat in the breakfast area.

This hotel is in an excellent location. The included breakfast is ample and nicely prepared. It's an older hotel but suited us just fine!

Great location. Very nice breakfast. Initially assigned a room different from what we reserved, but manager corrected. Room was everything we hoped, except we had difficulty sleeping because of a high pitched noise. Later determined it was coming from the refrigerator. Reported to the staff as we left.

Check in was no problem. Clerk friendly when spoken to but otherwise quiet. Rooms appeared clean but when I wore my white socks around room they got dirty . And room had a musty smell. The hotel really seems old & really needs updating. We were there for a wedding & we’re very few choices there for one night.

This hotel is very charming. The room was very nice looked over the Mississippi river. The bed was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was listed as top rated, but was typical hotel breakfast. It was served up rather than help yourself. Im sure that saves a lot of waste and it employs additional staff. The best part is the location you can not beat the location. Step out the door and you're on the bluff looking over the Mississippi river admiring spectacular sunsets. I would recommend the Grand Hotel and plan on returning.
