We recently stayed at Ocean Coral and Turquesa and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory; would have gave no stars. The reservation was made through Expedia and we have booked all the rooms with double beds. Upon checking in at the resort, we all got single bed rooms and didn’t confirm or tell us while giving us our bands. We had wait again for our to get rooms as per our reservations which took another 45 mins. The buffet food quality was quite poor, and there were numerous instances of cross-contamination, making it a concerning choice for those with food allergies. Not much options for vegetarians when there is cross contamination and the staff is not even making any effort to check on that in buffet area. The restaurant reservation system was frustrating, allowing reservations only for the same day, which made planning difficult and resulted in limited dining options. The staff’s lack of friendliness and failure to greet guests left a negative impression. There were no activities for us to do. Additionally, the rooms were very old and in dire need of renovation, which detracted from the overall comfort of our stay. Overall, this resort did not meet the expectations of an all-inclusive experience and I would not recommend it.
