I was there for 2 nights on the 2 day ask to have room clean early in the morning and new towels put in .. left early that day came back 7 hrs later .. nobody clean the room no clean towels nothing notices that all the other room on my side we cleaned except mine and my sister next door ..

I had a wonderful experience from the moment I checked in to the moment I left. The ocean view was perfect. The room was clean and cozy. Pet-friendly, my grandkids enjoyed the pool. I already told my friends it's a nice place to stay, and I will definitely make future reservations.

I enjoyed my stay here. Really, my only complaint is that the carpets were horribly stained (pet room). But no odor or anything. The shower door rubber gasket needs replacing. I stayed 2 nights here and will stay again. Beautiful environment, next door to Cavalier Hotel. And those staying at the Sands get to use the Cavalier's exterior space and restaurant. If you're on a budget, this is a great place. No pet fee! Staff is wonderful.

Our room was basic but quite adequate for our needs. You have to check in the hotel next door to check in. There were very few guests present on the night we were there. Unfortunately, we had a horrible night of sleep. We were in Room 130, which might be next to a utility room and an HVAC system for the next building. We listened to a fog horn like sound every 12 seconds and some hammer like banging at 6 am. After a not very restful night, our one night stay was over. Upon checking out, I did inform the gentleman at the front desk of the next door facility of our sleep interrupted night - mostly just to ask them to investigate these noises before the next guest stayed in that room. He apologized for our poor stay, did inform us that we should have contacted them to switch our room, and insisted on refunding us for our night's stay. I applaud the Sands by the Sea for their customer service for trying to make things right with us. I would certainly be willing to give their facility another try - so long as we are not at the very south end of the row by the utility room or whatever was next to us.

The room was pretty dirty and dusty. There was dust attacked to the ceiling and ceiling fan. We didn’t even use it because of that. The room was poorly unkept. I think wanted to leave but I figured I paid already. Nothing like the reviews I saw. Wouldn’t stay again. Just too dirty and stained everywhere it was uncomfortable because it felt gross.

We’ve stayed here a couple times before, it’s affordable and right by the surf spot we like, and we also know you get what you pay for, but this time around the room we got was not clean at all. The toilet wasn’t cleaned properly and there was trash under the beds. We’ve sadly decided we won’t be staying here again.

The staff checking in are great. Colleen and Roxy know how to make a guest feel welcome. The room is extremely outdated and needs to be upgraded badly. The curtains didn't close all the way, the window barely opened, the microwave the buttons all didn't work, the heater made a horrible sound that kept me up most of the night. I complained about these issues the next day was told they would see about changing my room and they would call me. Never got a call. Appears the staff does not communicate with each other and just will give lip service to a guest so they go away and become someone else's problem.
