Underwhelmed

When we arrived it was a very easy and friendly check in. Unfortunately, when we got to our room it was very warm. We thought maybe we needed to set the temp low to cool it down. By the next morning it was not very cool. The ac would work when it wanted. Also, we noticed the hotel is undergoing a lot of renovations which was unfortunate since we really couldn’t enjoy the facility.

Friendly and supportive staff engagements. Room cleanliness on second floor could have used a few touches: only had room checked once during our stay, noticeable few on side table that had ran down side closet to bed, pandora neckless found in bathroom underneath sink. Toilet had running water issue each time toilet was flushed and rusty piping. Not major concerns, but reportable here.

Nice stay

Check in was a pleasant experience. The front desk clerk was very personable and professional. She went over every detail of checking in. Room was clean and comfortable. Even though there was hotel renovations going on, it wasn't loud and working ended late afternoon. The only issue I have is they do not provide trash can liners anymore. I had to go to the front desk to get trash bags because we did not have any in the trash cans. The front desk clerk politely gave me 2 but told me that those were no longer provided. If that is policy, then it should be stated during the reservation rules so that guests will know to bring their own.

Blue Angels Airshow

We were in Beaufort for the Blue Angels airshow. Breakfast service was extremely slow, only two servers for a very busy weekend. Food was okay. AC was very loud in our room but the beds were comfortable and the room was spotless. Front desk service staff was great. Would stay again if ever in town.

Pool closed and lot of construction noise

Be ware this hotel DOES NOT offer a pool or exercise room. Part of the first floor is closed and is under construction and apparently has been for quite some time according to the front desk person. Most sites do not make it clear that the pool is not open which was a huge reason we chose this hotel. It was a huge disappointment for our son. Had I known this I would have chosen a different hotel. Construction begins at 8 am weekdays so you will hear lots of noise right at 8. If sleeping in or napping is import to you then do not stay here. Staff we encountered was nice she friendly and rooms were spacious.

Our stay at Holiday Inn Hotel was good. Plenty of parking, the staff was courteous and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good as well. The room was spacious and very nice. Except that the beds were very high and being short, they were a little difficult to get up into. I did find mold in the bathroom shower. The wall enclosure was dark, so I did not notice the mold until I was in the shower. I cleaned it the best I could, but it needs some sort of mold spray to get into the nooks and crevices.
