Just needed a room for the night for an event the following morning but we were pleasantly surprised. Games room (free) and swimming pool and the Bistro meant it was easy for the little one with us but it was in walking distance to the HV shops too. I was hesitant about our stay after reading a mix of reviews of the property - however - happy to report godd value for dollar - n9ce gtounds - large room - yes - a little tired but certsinly fine. Bed and linens excellent. Very central location and a short wslk to more restaurants.

Everything is good except the toilet is quite old with low water pressure. I like the game room and other facilities. Friendly staff. BTW, the bathroom is spacious yet there is no door in the shower room which is easy to make the bathroom wet.

The bed was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom had a glass ceiling above the bathtub. The bathroom would be nicer if it had a heater as it was cold the weekend we stayed there. The pool and spa outside could of been cleaned as it was full of leaves and debris making it not loplace andok too attractive. Overall great place in an excellent position.

The Mercure is a beautiful property in a great location for all your Hunter experiences. We stayed for a wedding this time, and a Gardens & wine weekend previously. The only disappointment has been the efficiency of front office staff to take and return call enquiries. We will be back though!

I enjoyed our stay more than my husband. He didn’t think it was as clean as it should have been. He killed a couple of beetles in the washroom and they were still on the floor after it was cleaned.
