The bodywash and shampoo dispenser was not working, so we ended up opening from the top. The hair dryer was not working, but the hotel staff was able to give us another. The Wi-Fi was very week, so couldn't really do much with that. The TV cable was bad so some of the channels almost impossible to watch. Their hot tub worked fine.

I walk into my room and Tv and the refrigerator was not working. They were not plug in even to the back of the TV. Toilet seat was very loose, someone forgot to tighten the nuts to it. Lamps on each side of the bed did not work. Bulbs burnout. I ask the Lady at the desk if maintenance could put new ones in. Never happened.

Front desk ladies were great, parking was easy. The room is just so dingy. This place is in great need of an overhaul, discolored popcorn ceilings, dirty bathroom walls and towels smelling like bleach and chlorine. The sheets were worn, pilling and scratchy. The TV worked and so did the AC. The place was also quiet thankfully during our stay. Probably wouldn’t stay here again. As soon as I got home I felt like I had to disinfect everything.

I was in the Indian Wells area for the tennis tournament, and looking for a reasonable place to stay the night. The Royal Plaza Inn Indio appeared to fit my needs, so this is where I booked. We arrived late at the hotel after a full day of tennis spectating. The first thing we noticed when we got in the room was that the building hallways were not in the best shape. When we entered our room, we did a thorough inspection. A few things we noticed were that the prior occupant's contact lenses were still laying on the nightstand, which was concerning, as that was a giveaway that the room wasn't as thoroughly cleaned. The mattress was old, but had a cover installed. The box spring had a drape over it, but was very dirty and stained. We didn't see any evidence of any bedbugs, but just to be safe we kept our luggage off of the carpeted floor. The parking area was a little darker than I'd like.
