Our trip was a NIGHTMARE. I have reached out to resort customer service/management and have continued to be blown off when raising my concerns and the very distressing incident/experience I had.
My friend and I were placed in an extremely uncomfortable situation where we felt unsafe with no support or understanding from the resort staff.
I arrived at the resort a day earlier and discussed with the front desk about my friend arriving the next night. I was told repeatedly that it would be no problem. Upon my friends arrival, he was not let through the gate. After checking with staff MULTIPLE times prior to my friends arrival, we were told that he was not allowed to enter the resort and would have to find a place to sleep for the night. The receptionist told me his shift was over and that he was leaving and this could be figured out in the morning.
Because I did not want to leave my friend alone without a place to stay for the night, I left the resort to be with him. Without help or support from the Bahia resort, I had to find transportation and communicate with the driver to find a hotel. The hotel we ended up at had no blankets, towels, or hot water. My friend had been traveling since 7 AM that morning and was not able to have anything to eat. I DO NOT recommend this resort— if there are any hiccups in your travel, they will NOT support you. Additionally, the food, drinks, and accommodation were average. I would recommend Secrets Resort- had a wonderful experience there.
