Pretty good room - Murphy Bed Not comfy.

Had a great time. The staff was pleasant enough. Pool/hot tub open to 11Pm. Plenty of chairs to sit in the room. Towels were readily available and we went through many. Only complaint, they should not advertise the Murphy bed as an actual bed. The mattress must be 25 years old. Sunk in the middle. Hurt my back so bad that I could barely walk the next day. I slept on the very firm loveseat with my legs hanging over the edge for the rest of the week. Incredibly, that was more comfortable than that drop-down bed. Of note - their pool operator seems to have a very difficult time getting one of the pools clear. It was cloudy the entire week. I’m assuming they checked the levels and found it to be safe. Other than that, the pizza place right outside was very good. The little beach bar next-door was very laid back and had a pool table. It was well situated to be able to walk to the banana boat rides, the family, kingdom, amusement park, and the wicked tuna at the pier. My Ocean front 1 BR + Living room had two air-conditioning units in it. Able to keep it FREEZING in 95degree heatwave. The bedroom with the two queen beds closed off with a door from the kitchen. The living room also had a door to close off from the kitchen and provided multiple areas with plenty of privacy. Quick elevators & never had to wait. Plenty of luggage carts available at any given moment. After adjusting to parking across the street, it was easy to load/unload then park & walk back. I

The view was the best thing about this hotel. The online pics did not reflect the hotel. We kept the light on in the bathroom due to the roaches scattering around when we flicked the light. We kept going to the lobby to get our room key card activated because anything it touches it deactivates. They tried to do some updates in the room, but the furniture looked old & rundown. The hotel staff was pleasant. The bathroom towels were cheap & pieces of frayed towel remains on your body when you dry off. The wish the room had a full length mirror. The kids really enjoyed the pool area , but the beach was grungy, we found cigarette butts in multiple areas & I know the hotel can’t control that. The hotel did have security on staff at different times to try & keep the riff raff out. Overall I would not stay again or recommend this hotel.

Great location

Right on the beach, not across the road. Two pools plus a lazy river for the kids. I was disappointed that a hotel that calls itself a resort had no restaurant. Not even a bar. W.didnt come to watch cable, and it's a good thing, because the cable didn't work on a lot of channels. The place needs updating and general refresh of the rooms, but it wasn't gross. Nice place for families.

Black mold nightmare

Upon checking into the room, we noticed there was a huge spot with black mold in the bathroom. We went back down to the lobby to inform the hotel staff. We were given a second room which also had black mold throughout the living room section, we went back down to the lobby and inform the hotel staff again. It was late in the evening and we had been traveling all day, and this was the second hotel that we had stopped by. And since we were out of options, we had to stay, but we asked for a discounted rate, and we're told that either we take it as is or we get refunded And we don't get to stay there. They were not helpful or willing to work with us at all, it was actually more like we were inconveniencing them by telling them that their hotel has black mold.

Not the greatest, but certainly not the worst.

Overall our stay was ok. The things that made me not give full stars: mildew/mold on the ceiling (room 1709), jacuzzi option for the tub didn't work, front desk staff were not the nicest. We asked for a blanket and 2 pillows for the murphy bed and got major attitude and was informed "it will only be ONE blanket, no more than that," when they are usually in the room to begin with. The Pros: the house keepers were all awesome and very friendly. The female security guard was on her game! She was constantly on the move and confirming that it was only the members of the hotel that were at the pool/hot tub/lazy river. The distance between the hotel and the beach were PERFECT! The price was great, even though we booked 2 days before we went. The beds were overall pretty comfortable. It was clean. Has a full kitchen which saved us a lot of money having teenagers that are always hungry. Some things could have made it better, for sure. But unless we found a better deal for better room somewhere else, we would stay there again.
