My family and I have stayed here three times and cannot wait to go back. Rooms are basic but clean and have everything we need. The biggest draw is that you cannot beat being right on the beach. It's a gorgeous area and we love the onsite restaurant, Nolan's. Staff is always wonderful too! Bonus, that it is pet friendly! LOVE this place. I hope to keep visiting every year!

Absolutely amazing beach front location!!! You cannot beat the location of this hotel. You can literally walk 25 feet and be in crystal clear water! The restaurant is only open in the evenings now and the pool is still undergoing renovations (which was disappointing when it was raining daily on our trip). But, I’ve been to this hotel many times and will continue to come back!

Room was spotless! Hotel was quiet and only noise I heard was guests coming and going in the hallway. The view from my room (211) was beautiful and relaxing. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. There is a pool area that’s under construction and will be a nice, added amenity.

Was a good stay was hoping the pool was open but it is still being remodeled. Rooms could be a alittle cleaner found hair on sink and shower, and stain on sheet. Staff is super nice. Had fun on the beach.

A hidden gem along Lake Michigan! My wife and I really enjoyed the King Suite balcony room, with a beautiful view of the beach and Lake Michigan. Yes, the hotel is older, but the lobby and rooms have been updated and were very clean. The beach is huge and has plenty of space to spread out. The biggest room for improvement is the grounds/landscaping of the hotel - the grass needed mowing, the beds needed weeding, and the firepit was overgrown. Also, remember that along Lake Michigan it's about 10 degrees cooler, so plan accordingly. Lastly, besides the hotel restaurant, you'll probably have to drive 25-30 minutes for anything other than fast food.

My stay was ok, the hotel definitely needs some modernization, however, the lake, the beach, they were beautiful so, the sacrifice was worth it. Our room was clean, air conditioning was great, however, the shower was not clean at all, there was long black hair on the shower walls and in the tub. I do not have long black hair. I can excuse the lack of amenities, for the location, but there is no excuse, for something not being clean, that is poor staffing.

If it's all about location, then this hotel is excellent. But beyond direct beach front access, this hotel is pretty bare bones (not even a toilet paper holder!). Staff was ok, but after we checked-in, they didn't acknowledge our presence. Would stay here again only to have excellent beach and hiking trail access. Otherwise, not much going on.
