Quirky mix of good and fair. We arrived early, called the phone number and Andrew (whom my wife calls The Invisible Man) responded quickly with call back to electronically open the door. He checked and allowed us early entry into our room. Here's the thing; I'm torn on the score on this place. We really liked it overall. Terrific location--you can walk to coffee and downtown and a bunch of restaurants. You have to have an access code. One person forgot their phone in room with access code and couldn't get back in. There's no staff on premised until after 2:30. Check in and out are electronic. They are renovating downtown so parking is limited when workmen are there but we found parking close by pretty easily. We requested room tidy up one time and it wasn't done. I'd suggest actually talking to Michelle or onsite staff about any issues. Room was clean and modern. Yes, walls seem thin. We didn't have any issues. Modern hotel close to everything. Just wonky.

Upon entering the room I checked for cleanliness as I do all hotels. I pulled back the sheets and they were full of hair. There was no one on duty so I called. I explained my dilemma to the lady on the phone. She apologized and directed me to some fresh linens. I was very disappointed that this is how my stay began. I chose this hotel based on ratings and reviews. The amount of money was paid for two days, this is unacceptable. I should not have to change sheets from the previous guest.

Parking is just on the street and you’re lucky if you can find one right at the hotel. They do not have a luggage cart and a very big deal to us was NO elevator! No other employees to help with luggage or valet your car. Location was the best reason to stay, you can walk to many bars and restaurants but downtown is also in the middle of construction so wear your walking shoes! Also, you have to have codes to get in the hotel and in your room. We experienced not being able to get back into hotel with the code we had and no one working there in a Saturday morning and calling the number on the door and no one answering. That was our decision not to stay in the future.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Went for a date night and really enjoyed the room. The nespresso hit the spot the morning after drinking downtown!! Wish the shower were bigger, but doesn’t detract from anything… great place to stay!!

Nice boutique hotel - very comfortable room and pleasant people on property to address any question. Only rec is to do something to dampen the noise that one can hear from neighboring room. Some type of insulation could go a long way.

The room was amazing. My only complaint is that I did not realize you needed a code to make entry into the hotel because there is no staff in the evening or night. Luckily, I arrived as the last staff member was leaving and she checked me in.

OMG! I can’t say enough! The space is clean, smells great , there’s a separate water closet, walk in shower, tons of storage, robes, extra towels, a mini fridge that’s actually cold, a Nespresso, dishes, cute little kitchenette, high ceilings & the floors are so clean, everything is CLEAN - if I find myself staying in Tyler again, I will absolutely be staying here! My husband & I were thoroughly impressed! Love love love! 💕

Like having a small quiet apartment. Love the access code rather than fooling around checking in at a front desk. Love the little lobby bar and the little perks. Really feels like I am using a friend’s place without the friend being home. This is my new place to stay when I am in Tyler.

The Thomas Hotel is simply amazing! We live in Tyler but some friends and I decided to have a little staycation to try it out. The staff was so accommodating and the check-in process was seamless and quick. The entire hotel is gorgeous with wonderful architecture and interior decorating. My friends and I would not hesitate to recommend the Thomas as the must-stay hotel anywhere around.

Room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Hotel felt very secure. Be prepared for the view if you stay in the room facing the deserted building and deserted parking garage. It may be the worst view in the entire town. Close the curtain and enjoy your stay! Visit the Loft across the street and eat at Moocho Burrito for breakfast.
