I’ve stayed at Ocean Mist Leith twice now, and it has officially become my go‑to hotel in Edinburgh. The staff are incredible — warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful in a way that makes every stay feel personal. The cabins are pristine and beautifully designed, especially considering you’re on a ship. If you can book the Bitter End cabin, do it. It’s an unexpectedly luxurious space with thoughtful details that make it feel special. The breakfast on the deck was always delicious with a solid variety. Leith itself is an amazing neighborhood, full of great cafés and restaurants - especially for the pescatarians!

An unforgettable experience aboard the historic Ocean Mist. Moored gracefully along the harbour canal in Leith, the century-old vessel is steeped in character, combining vintage nautical charm with flawless, attentive service from the entire crew. The top deck bar is a particular delight, a superb spot to sink into a handsome leather armchair, savour a drink, and watch the world go by along the water. Down in the cabin, everything was peaceful and cosy, with a wonderfully firm and comfortable bed. A unique and evocative retreat in Edinburgh.

First class staff and accommodation. Breakfast was continental style (and plenty of it). Parking was an unexpected additional charge (£10) however this did not detract from a lovely stay in a very comfortable room.
