On Tuesday, I think, two unbearable guests arrived! They made noise at night and didn't respect anyone. Two idiots! Noisy. The sink water was freezing cold! There was no soap to wash our hands. The shower didn't work properly. In short…it wasn't 100%.

Area is ok for a short stay, but I would choose elsewhere as a base to actually explore Madrid. However it is very convenient to the Principe Pio train station/metro, which is why I chose it. The entrance is a little odd - check in is downstairs at the bar & the self check in machines weren't working. I slept well here, not too noisy & the beds are comfortable. The cleanliness leaves something to be desired though- while the sheets looked ok, my curtain had what appeared to be blood stains & there was a peice of used chewing gum on the shelf. As other reviews mentioned, the shower leaking onto the floor is still an issue, but there's a mop to clean up. There is also nowhere private to change after showering unless you go back into the wet shower (I was in an all female dorm thankfully!). Overall I'd still stay there again if needed for my travels though.
