We stayed at the Oceanfront Inn for a quick overnight trip. At first glance, the hotel seemed clean, though it’s definitely showing its age especially in the bathrooms, which are very dated.
Parking is just okay. If you’re lucky enough to snag a spot in front of the hotel, you’re in good shape. Otherwise, you’re stuck with the parking deck, which is tight, low-ceilinged, and hard to navigate.
One of the highlights of our stay was the staff. Everyone we encountered was extremely nice, friendly, and clearly working hard. They were always moving, cleaning, and trying to help wherever needed definitely a bright spot during our visit.
Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse. As we were packing up to check out on our second day, we found a roach in the corner of our room. That alone had us ready to leave immediately. Then, when our friends went to take a quick dip in the pool before heading out, we walked into the pool area and spotted another, even larger roach on its back wriggling on the floor. That sealed the deal for us.
Between the bugs and the dated conditions, this was a dealbreaker. Despite the wonderful staff, we won’t be staying here again.
