Our room over look the beach. The only draw back was the room was 80 and it didnt cool down with the ac on unitl 8pm. Other than that it was great. Still 5 stars.

Nice Staff,Old Hotel, and Unwanted Surprises

We stayed at the Oceanfront Inn for a quick overnight trip. At first glance, the hotel seemed clean, though it’s definitely showing its age especially in the bathrooms, which are very dated. Parking is just okay. If you’re lucky enough to snag a spot in front of the hotel, you’re in good shape. Otherwise, you’re stuck with the parking deck, which is tight, low-ceilinged, and hard to navigate. One of the highlights of our stay was the staff. Everyone we encountered was extremely nice, friendly, and clearly working hard. They were always moving, cleaning, and trying to help wherever needed definitely a bright spot during our visit. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse. As we were packing up to check out on our second day, we found a roach in the corner of our room. That alone had us ready to leave immediately. Then, when our friends went to take a quick dip in the pool before heading out, we walked into the pool area and spotted another, even larger roach on its back wriggling on the floor. That sealed the deal for us. Between the bugs and the dated conditions, this was a dealbreaker. Despite the wonderful staff, we won’t be staying here again.

The room was adequate. Television had some issues with some channels. There was no way to indicate that I didn’t want housekeeping services, so someone came into my room when I was gone. The view was perfect. The bed wasn’t very comfortable for me. The bathroom was quite small. The room was outdated in general. Having ice and soda machines on only select floors was inconvenient and the machines were old so only took cash, no credit. And 2 out of 3 of them either didn’t accept cash or had no water. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly.

Every room has a beautiful ocean view. Our room was comfortable and we especially appreciated that it had a refrigerator. The location is perfect and within walking distance of many great restaurants and shops.

Overpriced for what you get

This was a nice enough place but I feel like it was way overpriced for what you get. The bathroom is tiny and if there were more than just myself and my Granddaughter staying that would have been a problem because you have to come out of the bathroom to dress after showering. The toilet stopped up during the night and so that was an issue in the morning. The only staff on site was the guy at front desk and he was laying over the counter half asleep in the morning because it seemed as though the day shift was consistently late or they just schedule them to come in later than normal. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean and smelled fresh. The outlet in the bathroom did not work so you had to use any appliances needed in the main room.

Keep looking!

Uncomfortable beds, hairballs and leftovers on the floor from previous guest. Pool guests were doing the deed in the pool. Place smelled like pot. No security cameras which explains why there was a shooting right outside. Elevator smelled like it was burning. Coffee was Maxwell house and coffee mate creamer. Overall, don’t bother.

Great stay

It was a weekend stay, I got there early before check in the front desk clerk act as if she didn’t want to be at work but the other staff members was very friendly. The room was clean the tub was a bit worn probably from the dirty sand from guest feet. The view was awesome. Virginia Beach owes me nothing from this weekend…..
