Value Ocean Front Love

It was very comparable to the price I paid. It was ocean front and an older hotel. Not the nicest hotel, but it was clean. Missing a hair dryer from the bathroom, but they brought one when I requested. The stag was very friendly and assisted when we had questions.

Nice view that is all!

Ocean view is over-rated now days at Virginia Beach! No breakfast, you cannot smoke or even vape on balcony (what’s the point of having a balcony), parking is tight and if no parks at hotel you have to drive and park across the street in an alley, no cable, tv need to be upgraded to smart so at least people can use their streaming services like Netflix . Hotel smell funny not a clean smell! Love the once view!!!

Hotels.Com needs to refund my money.

When I arrived my room was filthy. The AC was not working and the electrical plug was burnt. I did not stay because it wasn’t clean and with out AC it was unacceptable. Hotels.Com has not refunded my money and going forward I will not make a reservation with this company.

Good experience, staff was very friendly. Ocean view, amazing! Roon was clean..they offered free ice ❤.(machine)..lobby has a nice sitting area, spacious and clean. The place needs a face lift..a little update, on bedding, frest paint, etc We had the basics, which was fine . On check out day(11:00AM) we were able to park until 4PM..on a designated parking lot (ocean resorts) I liked that , we were able to do some shopping, without paying parking fee. Access to the beachfront was amazing. Overall we loved our stay @Ocean Resorts.

Location: spectacular, everything else?….

Let’s talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly shall we? The good: location! It literally opens up to the boardwalk, so you can’t beat this location, period. The balcony had a beautiful view of the ocean, and the hotel is right on Atlantic; steps from restaurants, shops etc. location is 10/10. The bad: Wifi is very slow and spotty except right beside the front door. The restroom is TIGHT. The door LITERALLY rubbed the toilet bowl to open. You couldn’t be at the sink and have someone open the door it’s that tight, not kidding. The TV was basic, with analog cable. VERY limited channel selection. Many channels were grainy. Blast from the past. View from the balcony was spectacular. Unfortunately there was only a demi wall between us and our neighbours, so there is essentially no privacy on the balcony. Everyone sits there staring at each other. The parking? The hotel property itself fills up QUICKLY and we were forced to use the overflow lot across the street most of the time. Weekends, even the overflow fills up. If you go out, you may not find a spot when you get back. Want a spot in the hotel lot? Try looking around checkout time: 8:00am to 11:00am. Then never move your car. The pool was nice enough. We enjoyed it. No complaints. No real complaints about the staff: house keeping is by appointment only, which we appreciated. We didn’t use the housekeeping service at all. Would we stay here again? Likely. Lots of compromises to be made, but location is A+

Convenient location

Amazing days in Virginia Beach 🌊☀️ We stayed at Océano Resort with my family and had a great time. Perfect location right by the ocean and latino festival, very comfortable. A special shoutout to Mr. Brian at the front desk – super friendly and helpful! 👏.

Price and quality don't match

Room updated but has several problems: A/C unit leaks water into the room; the fridge also has water leaking; pillows were lumpy; tv color was faded and refresh rate was horrendous. It liked watching stop motion animation. Room service only available if requested, which is ok for us. The ice machine broke so it kept beeping for attention, and since it's right outside the room it gets a bit annoying. View was good though. I think rate was a high for the quality. Also there's a sign on the door said room rate should not exceed 299, but we paid almost 400 included taxes and fees.

Alarms

Everything was fine until about 11 PM when I was trying to get some sleep and the fire alarm would ring two times in my room about every 20 to 30 minutes from 11 PM until 1:30 AM. When I asked if I could check out late the biggest concern was “when are you leaving”. I decided to call and request one more hour as there was no apology for the inconvenience of very little sleep. Hopefully they don’t put somebody in that room tonight without fixing it!
