Great Location but wanted more!

4 night vacation stay in ocean city with the family. Pros: great location, great pool area and outside bar. Cons: room was very small (but manageable), did not offer pool towels, didn’t have a place to hang wet clothes to dry except on the shower curtain rod which means they dripped all over the floor. Worst was that we stayed for 4 nights and our room was never serviced during our stay. We specifically asked on Friday and were told that it would be done Saturday but it was never done. Hotel definitely needs some updating.

Nice basic hotel not a luxury but perfect if you want to be close to the boardwalk and spend all day and just come back to sleep… Overall us just Ok older but clean if you don’t like noise do not stay by the pool rooms for us doesn’t matter that’s normal people enjoy at the bar… they have 2 parking area

Romantic getaway at the The Plim was great. If you're looking for the Hilton this isn't the place for you. The Plim is 54 years old and has a lot of charm. The rooms are small but doable and the staff there are great. We did leave an brand new imatation teak table in room 252, we called and they called us back, it was not there. If you're into the boards and people watching from the patio book a stay!

Enjoyable for the off-season

1st - this hotel was built in 1963. For it's age it is doing very well. I give the staff 5+ stars. They were extremely polite, helpful and available. The only reason the overall received a 4 stars was because our bathroom fan was very loud and didn't seem to do anything but make noise. I feel the mattresses need to be updated more often and the if you are a tall person then you will be uncomfortable sitting on the toilet with your knees pressed up against the tub (but that is because the hotel up in age). 2nd - due to its age I recommend it for a couple per room or a couple with children under 10. We went as a family (2) parents and a 17 yr old. There is not enough privacy or space in the room. The AC unit worked fantastically, the windows and doors are updated and strong. The walls and floors are a little thin but not too bad for this quaint hotel. The parking lot at the hotel is lacking. I feel they should lose about 5-7 parking spots in order to make the rest of the spots larger. I like where the overflow parking is (easy walk). We didn't use the pool or hot tubs but heard other quests enjoyed them. We used the coffee bar, great option for when the barista on the porch was closed. The barista was fantastic. We only had dinner had Cabanna's once, they provide nice bar & grill options. We used the rockers on the porch - they are nice but need a little TLC. The lobby was a great place to enjoy some AC and mingle.

Old style Ocean City with nice features

The hotel is old, the owners have updated he bathrooms, the carpet should be replaced. It is typical of the old Ocean City hotels the rooms are small, there is no room for a table and chairs. The staff was very friendly and responsive, the price of the room was very reasonable. The location to the broad walk is perfect. Plim Plaza has an outdoor pool and three hot tubs and a tiki bar.

Below average

Parking for the hotel is very limited (at first) Upon checkin they share where to find the overflow parking. Overall cleanliness of the building is mediocre at best. Hallway carpets were completely disgusting. You could see the months of traffic worn into the carpets. The rooms are very small and EVERYTHING your neighbors (from all sides) are doing can be heard clearly. We stayed here because of the closeness to the event we were attending. Next time we’ll just find parking and stay further out.
