AI in Flughafen-Nähe mit einfacher Ausstattung

Einfaches Hotel mit guten Essen. Zumindest im Buffetrestaurant waren die Speisen gut gewürzt und das Personal sehr freundlich. Al-a-carte Restaurant wurden nicht genutzt. Getränke auch eher einfach, aber trinkbar. 4* ist etwas hochgegriffen, aber für ein paar Nächte ok! Zu unserer Zeit war die Strömung Richtung dem Strand und dementsprechend leider nicht so sauber.

I must say I travel monthly to Puerta Plata and this is the first at Blue Bays. Grounds are perfect and staff exceptional. The food quality, quantity and display outstanding. This place you will get your bang for the buck. I e stayed several times in Amber cove and Costambar. Blue Bays is nice and friendly. Playa Dorado has whatever your needs or whims

As much as I travel one thing I do not encounter usually is the lack of AC and hot water. I stayed here Sunday to Sunday and when I arrived and got to my room the hotel associate turned on the AC which struck me as odd that it was not on before my arrival. I did not think much of it until the next day I was still without AC. It took them until Wednesday to switch my room to a room that had AC. Also the hot water was not working, they did fix that by the following day though. Again in the new room on the day I was checking out I was without hot water. This to me should not happen at a vacation resort. It should not take that long to fix a problem with AC in 80 degree weather. And hot water??? in both rooms. Another issue I had with the resort was the buffet food at best was lukewarm. I could possibly understand if you get there at the end of the buffet. But at least one of the buffets I arrived as they opened it again to lukewarm food. I understand there occasionally could be a glitch but it should be attended to promptly. The first room issue with the hot water when I went to the front desk I was told the were replacing hot water heaters in a couple rooms? The next day when I went to guest services they attended to it immediately. All in all the resort was not bad but the inconveniences definitely would prevent me from recommending or staying at the resort again.

Not to enter room bc of bad key system. Not fixed

The food was great, the entertainment staff and resort staff were all great, and that’s where the great stopped. The rooms were outdated and run down. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The biggest problem was our not opening. Nine different times and one day we had to get our keys, reactivate or changed. And turn out that the door lock was bad, and we were told it would be fixed within 20 minutes. 5 hours later it still wasn’t fixed and it never did get fixed. It was raining this entire day, so it wasn’t like we could go to the beach and hang out or hang at the pool while we waited. We literally sat in the chair, chairs underneath the awning, waiting for someone to get us into our room. We literally wasted a whole day, waiting to get into our room because the door did not function properly. It got to the point on the final two days that we didn’t even use our key cards. We had to leave the window unlocked and reach through and open the door handle to get in and out, because the door key card system was never changed. I voiced my displeasure with the front desk and told them if it didn’t get rectified I would be writing this review. Well, here I am writing the review so that tells you all you need to know.
