Being an old hotel, our room and bathroom were small, but OK overall. Three issues made our stay just average in satisfaction though. The chain inside the toilet tank came off upon flushing it so I had to fix it in the morning because it wouldn't flush. Doing toilet repairs shouldn't be needed! Our TV worked the night of check-in, but not the next morning. It just kept looping constant 15 second hotel commercials and wouldn't respond to any remote signals, so it was unwatchable. Then upon checkout, we had brunch reservations that we ended up being 15 minutes late for because of the poor valet service. We followed their directions about notifying them at least 15 minutes ahead of time before we went down. As we kept waiting at the front of the hotel for our car, we finally asked about our car and they had no record of their system getting our text notification, so they had to add us on the list at that point. They park the cars a few blocks away, which takes a lot of time to retrieve your car, even when you are next. We had to wait another 15-20 minutes for our car to arrive, which was very annoying, especially since we had people waiting for us at the restaurant we were having brunch at. For the $49/night parking fee, one would think their system would work better. Next time we are staying in Sacramento, we will choose a different hotel.
