Since I had read all emails sent by the hotel prior to my arrival and also many referencies written by previous guests, I haven't had problems with the check-in or anything else. However I believe it will be much better if the guests may read such information about the check-in directly in the hotel description presented by the portal Hotels.com before they make a booking. Especially for the guests from abroad it would be useful if they are provided with an information that they can simply reach the reception in another building by using the tramway line 9 (going 3 stations).
