DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!

This place was disgusting. We only stayed here because it said it had a room rate of 8.2. I have no idea how they came up with that. This place is the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. The bed was awful, the most uncomfortable. The bathtub surround had been painted over and all the paint is peeling. So much mold in bathroom. We did not shower there. The outside is also not taken care of. The furniture is from the early 80's. The pictures are not current. I took pictures but dor some reason they won't let me post any.

Good for a low budget hotel

It’s what you would expect for a cheaper hotel. Check in/ out was smooth. The room was clean and had what we needed, no frills. I would have liked an extra pillow. The walls are very thin. Each time an adjacent room turned the water on it was so loud it woke me up. The view was surprisingly good from our room. Would stay again.

We were in the back in a queen and had an amazing view of the bridge. Bed and bath clean--the place was quiet. A few transient people were walking through the area. We both noted the floor was not level, but it was not a big deal. We watched ships and the sunrise just outside of our room--the window was good; but it was more satisfying to watch from outside our door. Dinner at the Rogue brewery pub was great and a trip across the Colombia to Cape Disappointment was lovely. Astoria is a fantastic place to visit and not too shabby on a budget.

We had two big issues with our room. First there’s a light outside the window of the room that’s very bright and lights up the whole room even with the lights out and the blackout curtain closed. We had an awful time trying to sleep. We also discovered the room had ants after the first night we had a soda can on the table and in the morning the table and can were covered in ants. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. If it’s in your budget stay somewhere else wouldn’t go back.

Served it's purpose

We were in town for a beer festival. It served it purpose as an economical stay. The beds were not comfortable, mattress toppers would be a lovely addition, but it appears ownership doesn't believe in any upgrade investments.

Dont get me wrong I know its a Motel 6. Ive stayed at most of Astorias hotel/motels and there was nothing exceptionally better or worse about this place. Except for late in the night when water started dripping then pouring from the ceiling on my wife head. I went to the front desk and the clerk apologized and called the room above and asked them to stop their bath because thats what was leaking onto my bed!!!! This is a well known issue evident by the numerous patches in the ceiling. No one could tell me if it was clean or dirty water that leaks when the bath runs but take your pick either way its disgusting that they know about and rent the room anyway. And with surge pricing for an event weekend spending $180 with tax on a motel 6 is bad enough but this with inept response from the staff makes it more frustrating. We moved beds and slept it through only to be walked in by housekeeping in the morning. No knock just walked in. Ending up there was my fault but place maybe should not be operating as is, this didnt seem to be an isolated issue with the facility.

The only thing I didn't like was the light outside the room window is SUPER bright and for someone who likes complete darkness when they sleep it was too much. Also, the bed was pretty uncomfortable but I could look past that if the light outside the room didn't beam even with the curtains shut.
