Hotel Room Turned Slip-n-Slide

Stopped in Omaha on the way to Denver with my mom for a little birthday road trip! I had checked out the pictures and thought this place was going to be so cute! Checking in went well and the room looked good…until we started unpacking and my mom stepped on the floorboard near the bathroom and water popped up, causing her to almost slip. She had thought I spilled something on the floor to which I told her I definitely did not. I started poking around more but wasn’t too sure what was causing the water. I went downstairs and told the woman at the check in counter about how it was doing that and that my mom almost slipped. It was late so I didn’t want to go through the fuss of switching rooms. Flash forward to when I started taking a shower and began to notice that the water was not going down the drain at all. In fact, it wasn’t even staying in the bathroom. The water pooled straight outside the door and into the little walkway toward the beds. My mom and I couldn’t believe this was happening and ended up going through the rest of the towels trying to clean up the water hazard. Needless to say, I cancelled the reservation for our trip on the way back. Didn’t help too that the sitting water was making the bathroom smell like a sewer.

The swimmimg area had boarded up windows, broken chairs, and has one water slide. No staff or life guards anywhere in the pool area. The hotel itself is run down. Our room was ok, but not comfortable. I would not recommended this hotel.

Better on the second floor...

We started previously and it was great. Check in was a breeze. Looked over the room before settling in, got dinner, showered, and then as we were getting ready for bed, saw a bug (you know the sort) crawling across the covers. Super bummed. Other things to note about this room specifically: the filters in the a/c were left out; not sure if they were drying and forgotten, or if there was a different issue. There was also mold on the bathroom ceiling that did not look like it was being addressed. Let me be clear: all other aspects of the hotel room were fine. However, I still have not heard from the management about a refund or deduction for the room... I totally expect them to fix the issues, as the first time we stayed we had a lovely time, zero issues.

Great stay

Good stay, great restaurants on-site. Did not check out the pool/waterpark, but looked fun! Only downsides I would say is that the shower is not a walk in, parking is not free, and there is not complimentary breakfast. Otherwise, a clean, comfortable and quiet hotel. Also had a digital check-out! Will be back!

Average minus some necessities

Overall was good stay, however we had to ask for towels (we only had 3 in the bathroom for a family of 4 staying), no hand soap in bathroom on arrival, and had to ask for coffee cups as only 1 was in the room for a 2 night stay. They were helpful getting things when asked, but should have been in room already stocked when room was checked and ready for guests. The pool was a highlight for kids!

We arrived on a Thursday evening and the front desk was very overwhelemed, trying to accommodate a guest, check people in and drive the shuttle for guests. The common space and elevators were covered with water from the waterpark. Our room had mold on the bathroom ceiling and one of the lamps shades was severely stained but the front desk stated all of the rooms were taken so there was no switching. There was someones old razor lid in our shower and we only got 2 clean bath towels. There was also no handsoap refilled in the bathroom. Our coffee station was never filled, we did ask the front desk for the missing items on Friday but they were never brought up. I think the housekeeper card said Elvia, but we couldnt find her name on the tip QR code provided. I did take pictures and would gladly provide them. We ate at Burger Theory which was delicious but the place was deserted and still all of the tables were dirty. The fllor was also soaked at the fozen yogurt place. Unfortunately I wouldnt recommend this hotel or stay here again based on all of this and the fact that it's a little louder than we bargained for.
