Superior experience with Uig

The recidense experience was far beyond my expectation. Room was very spacious with almost all necessary facility ready, wifi was superior unlike some other hotels in isle of skye. Moreover, the hotel has a unique view of sunset. Imagine how’s the feeling when u gasp a glass of whisky looking at the sun dips into the sea right out side the lounge. Food generally ok.

Breakfast was quite basic re Continental options. No cheeses /meats /tomatoes etc. No croissants / pastries. Cooked foods very good / lovely & hot Room was not comfortable - single beds really narrow / too soft. Room too hot despite turning radiator off. Furniture a bit tatty and needing replaced (chest of drawers) Parking was ideal & close to room Staff service varied. I spoke to one lady re cocktail (very poor) and am still waiting on a response.

Leave plenty of time to eat.

Comfortable hotel just out of town though quite a walk up a hill. Room was large and comfortable. Meals were slow in coming after ordering. The second morning we had a days travel ahead of us and thought we’d get to breakfast 10 minutes early but were not allowed to order until 8.00. We were told there was only 1 cook on but could see things were VERY slow so ended up only ordering scrambled eggs thinking it would be quick - still very slow.

Lovely stay on the coast

My partner and I had a great night at the Uig hotel on our tour of Scotland. They called ahead to make sure we were set for dinner, offered tons of great suggestions for exploring the area and was the best host I've interacted with in a while. Marie was great to work with! Would love to come here again and spend more time.

We had a lovely stay at the Uig Hotel! The rooms were clean, cozy, comfortable and had amazing views! The staff were all kind and courteous. The food was incredible!!! As good as any Michelin star restaurant! Well done Uig Hotel!! You made our stay on Skye the highlight of our long journey.

Stayed 2 nights in a double room in Uig lodge. Very nice room, spacious with a large window and fantastic view. However the room did not have a fridge which I expected for the price. On site parking was very convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included a freshly cooked meal. Dinner in the restaurant was good quality. This hotel is in a convenient location for visiting Isle of Skye and we enjoyed our stay here. I do think it is a little over priced though.

Lovely staff both at reception and in restaurant; room had a comfy bed, best shower I’ve come across, beautiful view across to the village, ample parking. Food is very good both in the evening & at breakfast.
