Put a bar in there and up staffing numbers and better the wine and food selection. This is entry way to Tassie. One of Australia’s food and beverage heavens. The restaurant does not open on Sunday and Monday nights. They are woefully understaffed. Our checking was a disaster. We were not given the room we booked, they could not split a king size bed ( I suspect they don’t employ housekeeping staff over the weekend)as we’d booked a twin room with twin beds. Settled for a sofa bed as they would not refund us so we could go elsewhere. The breakfast was great ( the chef was barista, waiter and shuttlebus driver) and a trainee was left unsupervised at checkout which made our checkout protected. The morning staff were lovely and helpful unlike the Sunday afternoon staff who really didn’t know what he was doing so much so he was asking people to send him their booking confirmations. I wouldn’t recommend staying there unless you are desperate to stay near Hobart airport.
