The property was a beautiful and the beach was truly the highlight of the trip, however, the service was TERRIBLE (I am being reserved with my word choice).We paid for a “ butler service” which the individual was available upon check-in and we never heard from him after that. We visited the concierge desk multiple times throughout our stay to help rectify the situation with no resolution. Upon check out, this was brought to the manager‘s attention and an apology was rendered, however, there was no openness to refunding money that was spent for the “butler service” during our stay. Furthermore, there were charges for spa services rendered and when attempted to use the resort credit, we were told that it was only for massages. However, this was not disclosed to us, nor written on the resort credit provided to us. At the price point we paid in comparison to other vacations, the lack of focused customer service, non willingness to help and/or compensate for the non delivery of a paid service is inexcusable. Further, most employees were consistently on their cell phone and “too consumed with their phone” to help. It truly is unfortunate as the property is beautiful along with the beach, but service was the worst we every experienced. This was our first and last time in the Dominican.
